HOW ZINC CARNOSINE WORKS:
Zinc itself is an important cofactor for:
◇ Mitochondrial function
◇ Antioxidant support
◇ DNA synthesis + transcription
◇ Suppressing inflammation
and has antimicrobial properties as well.
Carnosine is a peptide found primarily in animal meat that also has antioxidant properties.
These are all vital for protecting, healing and maintaining the gut lining.
The combination of the two seems to be greater than the sum of their parts, too.
It can stimulate the production of a heat shock protein HSP72, which are involved in the protection and healing processes of various tissues.
Same goes for IGF-1, another protein that is highly involved in tissue repair processes.

Zinc carnosine is awesome for healing the gut, but on its own it won't be enough.
It's better used as a part of a comprehensive health plan.
