An incredible study showed major reductions in arterial plaques simply by shining light onto the body, more so than even statins.

LIGHT does this.

From gut problems, to low T and even fat loss.

Why LIGHT may just be the missing link to enhance your metabolism:

This was an animal study done in a classic model of heart disease, the high cholesterol diet in rabbits.

This diet causes them to rapidly develop atherosclerosis since they naturally consume none of it.

They also compared light therapy to statin.

They used a polarized light with wavelengths in the 400-760 nm range, which is mostly red and near infrared light.

Polarization ensures all of the wavelengths are aligned properly, thought to have a more powerful biological effect.

Animals were given either 5 or 20 min per day of light therapy "on their outside surface of ear with 10 cm distance from lens every day
(10:00-12:00) for 8 weeks"

Light treatment improved some blood markers.

The animals who got the light showed:

◈ Lower WBC count (immune cells)
◈ Reduced platelets (form blood clots that cause heart attacks)

but this wasn't the amazing part.

Light also reduced cholesterol and LDL, but the statins did more so.

What is amazing is that the light therapy outperformed statins on actually reducing plaque sizes.

You can see it clearly in these pictures of the aorta, the primary heart artery.

On the high cholesterol diet alone ➞ 57.5% plaque coverage
With statin ➞ 47.5%
With 5 mins of light daily ➞ 42.2%
With 20 mins ➞ 26.4% !

While this might seem like magic there is a real biological loop going on here.

Shining the light on the ears makes sense since they are highly vascularized. So during a 20-minute exposure, the entire blood volume circulates multiple times.

The primary effect is likely due to the red / near infrared component of the light, which activates mitochondrial energy metabolism through its absorption by the enzyme cytochrome c oxidase.

Mitochondrial function governs:

☆ Inflammation in immune cells (these cells stay in the activated state without sufficient mitochondrial energy production)
☆ Blood flow in the arteries and vasodilation, since impairments can deplete nitric oxide (critical for keeping the arteries excluding cholesterol / staying low inflammation)
☆ Endothelial health, which acts as a gatekeeper to cholesterol entering the arteries
☆ Cholesterol metabolism and synthesis

by acting on the blood cells, red light in this manner can have a powerful effect.
