Supplementing glycine + NAC restored every measure back to youthful levels.
Older adults saw:
β β Muscle-glutathione - the body's master antioxidant
β β Red blood cell (RBC)-total glutathione (tGSH)
β β RBC-reduced glutathione (rGSH)
β β RBC-GSH/GSSG ratio - the amount of "usable" vs "used" glutathione
β β Plasma TBARS - a marker of oxidative damage
β β Plasma F2-isoprostanes - a marker of lipid peroxidation (also oxidative damage)
β β Muscle respiratory quotient (RQ) - an indicator of increased fat burning
