LIGHT does this.

From gut problems, to low T and even fat loss.

Why LIGHT may just be the missing link to enhance your metabolism:

Red and near infrared light induces weight loss, improves insulin sensitivity and even lowers lipids.

I didn’t believe it either. Sounds like bullshit.

But study after study kept proving me wrong.

Near infrared light + exercise:

⬩MORE fat loss
⬩MORE muscle gained
⬩IMPROVED insulin sensitivity
⬩IMPROVED anti-inflammatory markers

Than exercise alone.

Yes, with light.

Specific lights protect against thyroid dysfunction, the master metabolism regulator

People with autoimmune hypothyroidism using near infrared light:

• Needed to use less than HALF of their thyroid dose
• Suppressed their TSH
• Reduced their thyroid antibodies by over half

This hilariously iconic article title gets dismissed as pseudoscientific clickbait.

But it’s true: red light does have unbelievable benefits to reproductive health, no matter how ridiculous it seems.

Red and near infrared light has been shown repeatedly to ENHANCE the function of the sex organs:

ā–« Increased fertility
ā–« Increased sperm motility
ā–« Increased testosterone output.

What if I told you that simply shining red light on the scalp was at least as effective as the leading drugs for hair loss, without any of the horrible side effects?

Hold your phone flashlight up to your finger. You’ll notice that only the red makes it through.

That’s because only specific wavelengths, or types, of light can penetrate the skin, and facilitate biological effects.

The key action of these specific wavelengths (of the red and near infrared category) is on ENERGY PRODUCTION.

At specific wavelengths, these lights are absorbed by proteins in the mitochondria, which actually directly increases our energy output.

10
Cyanide is toxic by blocking our energy production at these same proteins that red light ā€œturns onā€

Carbon monoxide does the same, as does nitric oxide.

The right light is able to REVERSE this toxicity and restore energy production, and can also knock off these inhibitors.

Energy is what breeds life and health, and proper light is one of the fundamental energy enhancers.

The right light also has an incredible ability to lower inflammation.

Inflammation + poor energy production are in EVERY health problem, hence why light is a Swiss Army knife.

And we’ve known this forever.

Of course, there's the sun.

Incandescent lights (composition similar to that of the sun, rich in red and near infrared) were used in the early 1900s by doctors for ailments like obesity, fatigue, diabetes, insomnia and baldness.

Light therapy is the application of specific types of light to achieve therapeutic effects.

Sometimes red light is used, sometimes infrared, sometimes targeted lasers, sometimes LEDs.

Fundamentally, they all work by the same mechanism: increasing mitochondrial function.

One study showed that near infrared light improved vision in over 95% of patients suffering from macular degeneration, a leading cause of vision loss.

Another study using red and infrared lights led to an improvement in eyesight of over 5 letters!

Your doctor wouldn’t believe you.

Red and near infrared lights also protect the brain.

Animal studies have shown that near infrared light can restore the ability of the brain to produce dopamine.

Dopamine production is extremely energy dependent, and restoring the metabolism can help restore motivation.

Near infrared light helps reverse Alzheimer’s.

In animals, exposure to this light:

- Reduced plaque buildup
- Reduced Tau protein
- Restored mitochondrial energy producing proteins

Bolster energy, bolster cognition and memory.

Red and near infrared light are probably most well known for counteracting pain, and thus they may serve as a novel therapy for gut problems.

The right light actually can change the bacteria in the gut, and can even reduce symptoms of constipation.

18
Light therapy even REVERSES liver damage due to toxins in animals.

The liver is the metabolic hub of the body, so it should come as no surprise that red light protects it.

Incandescent light treatment was even able to reduce cholesterol and unclog the arteries of animals.

Researchers concluded that light

ā€œImproves blood flow more effectively [than statins].ā€

Unbelievable what is possible when the body gets exposed to the right lighting.

The pro-metabolic effects of red light are especially apparent for athletes, since it:

- Improves recovery
- Enhances strength
- Aids in muscle growth
- Reduces muscular fatigue

This is the device I’ve been using, which you can get at 20% off using this link.

It has both critical red light wavelength regions as well as both near infrared wavelengths. emr-tek.com/discount/OPTIM…

Of course, sunlight is the traditional way of getting your red and near infrared light in.

Incandescent / halogen lights give a broad spectrum, with a good chunk of red / infrared light.

However, it does seem to be the case that a targeted, wavelength specific device is a more potent and reliable therapeutic option.

Several studies compare targeted red light to incandescent, with the latter being the placebo effectively. It may have insufficient output at a given wavelength to achieve the therapeutic property.

That is why I use the one mentioned, as it contains all wavelength regions I care about the most.

It also has a known irradiance and spot size, which are critical to know if trying to implement it properly.

The power and energy density (irradiance and radiant exposure, respectively) are important to know depending on what you are using it for.

Not all lights are created equal.

Both insufficient and excessive doses can compromise outcomes.

In general, less is more, and just bathing in light therapy can be harmful.

This is an excellent database on light therapy.

You can find out the specifications (irradiance, spot size, time of application, distance, etc) for given uses here, just search for a term and look for human studies.
