For centuries, classical Muslim scholars have argued that the original Torah and Injil were lost and that Christians and Jews no longer possess them.
Then along comes Deen with a convenient change of strategy:
"We're changing our position. The Torah and Injil aren't lost after all. You actually DO have them, but they're still corrupted!"
So we've gone from "You don't have the original scriptures" to "You do have them, but they've been consciously edited."
And just like that, a new ad hoc defense is born, conveniently designed to escape the Islamic Dilemma rather than resolve it.
