Team Spotlight: Ceruldege Milotic!

It may be evil to play against, but @sunoru_sidw stole the show and everyone’s hearts with this cool duo!

And now Milotic and Ceruledge have some fun new toys to play with! Let’s talk about this duo that centers on two non-Mega Pokemon (1/9)

The true Mega of the team is Ceruledge

This Mon absolutely destroys Charizard Y.

And although it’s weak to defensively to common threats like Basculegion, Kingambit, and Garchomp — it’s strong offensively and after 2-3 Bulk Ups it just overpowers physical attackers (2/9)

Next up is Milotic!

Milotic is another “Raid Boss” Mon that becomes unkillable after a couple Coils — especially if you’re putting things to sleep with Hypnosis

And most importantly it heavily discourages Incineroar Intimdate cycling your Ceruledge with Competive! (3/9)

Speaking of Incineroar, your own Incin is vital for providing Fake Out to get the set up going, Intimidate for survivability, and Parting Shot for damage mitigation and positioning

It pairs especially well with Sinsitcha to heal Milo & Ceru! And redirection is clutch too (4/9)

And that forms the core! Ceruledge + Milo + Incin + Sinsitcha is your go-to strategy and you don’t even have a Mega yet!

So you can add 1-2 Megas with quite a lot of flexibility! And this core works well with both Set Up Megas as well as supportive Megas! (5/9)

The most common set up Mega is here is Calm Mind Floette. The Fairy + Fire offensive combo is tried and true

Cybertron also just featured a version that used SD Mega Scolipede! I’ve tried it and it’s a really good team!

Basically any set up Mega would work here tbh (6/9)

And if you want a supportive Mega, Mega Raichu Y has become a staple on this team!

It gives you extra fake out, Zap Cannon to handle pesky water types and speed control, and Lightning Rod (pre Mega) + Focus Blast for pesky Archaludon! It’s the perfect Milo + Ceru partner (7/9)

Raichu Y is also great offensively into Zard-Y, Gambit, Basculgeion, etc.

It’s frail, but if you bulk it out it can take some hits! And often times just getting a fake out and hitting 1 Zap Cannon or Focus Blast can give enough room for your Milotic or Ceruledge to clean up(8/9)

In conclusion, Milotic and Ceruledge are two of the hardest matchup checks in the game and Raichu Y is uniquely good at protecting them!

If you’re looking for a spicy new team this could be it! It’s slower paced than most of the meta but when played well is hard to stop!
