Let’s start with the star of our show: Toxapex?
What does it do? It controls the pace of the game. Infestation traps the Opp and whittles them down. Toxic puts them on more of a timer

Toxapex is one of the few Mons in the meta that has the defensive stats, typing, and ability to work as a defensive win condition

It’s Wide Guard turns the opponents unstoppable threats into weaker slower versions of themselves
It lets you choose which mons you have AND which mons your opponents have. And that power is truly incredible in the right hands

I’m sorry but its partner in crime is Mr. Meta himself - Charizard Y
You know how much of a menace Zard-Y is? Even when it dies to a stray Rock Slide?
Imagine how bad he is when you need 3 single target attacks to KO him. And you can’t swap defensively or reset weather (5/12)

And you know how sad Zard-Y is into Toxapex? Not only can it not really do much damage to Toxapex, but blocking Heat Wave is a massive deal
And if Sun is stalled out then Weather Ball and Solar Beam become useless as well. Toxapex goobs opposing Zard in the mirror (6/12)

Next up you want a pivot Mon like Grimmsnarl or Incineroar
This is crucial to getting your mons in safely next to the board Toxapex has set up for them
And Parting Shot synergizes extremely well with Regenerator to mitigate damage and heal your Pex (7/12)

And with those 3 pieces you want to deal with the few Mons that can give Toxapex some trouble:
Farigiraf, Garchomp, Kingambit, Basculegion, Raichu-Y and Archaludon
Thankfully you’ve got 3 open slots to deal with these guys. So you’ve got options. Let’s talk good ones (8/12)

First off you want a Ground type
It gives you a switch in for Electric attacks aimed at Pex. It also threatens them offensively while threatening Kingambit as well
And with Wide Guard and Zard that gives you good options to spam Earthquake next to (9/12)

Next you probably want a (2nd) Dark Type.
They give you a switch in to psychic attacks and they threaten Farigiraf Basculegion offensively which is really important
Hydreigon and Kingambit are both really solid options here that synchronize well with Pex (10/12)

And then lastly you probably want something to KO Fairies
While Pex and Zard resist Fairy, nothing Truly resists Floette. So you want something to take care of it like Sneasler, Venusaur, or Metagross
These mons also have helpful coverage into other threatening mons (11/12)

And that’s a Toxapex team! It’s seen lots of success including @WolfeyGlick taking it to Top 4 NAIC, @tsltang0508 and friends crushing ladder with it!
