🧵 You're not a perfectionist. You're just coping. You're actually...

You're actually stuck in Analysis Paralysis, and you have no idea how much it is holding you back.
You could be the next MrBeast, but instead you are busy debating for 12 hours which transition is the best.
So here's how you can beat Analysis Paralysis and start going viral (thread):
Someone gets a good idea, they open a doc, they start outlining…
Then spend the next 3 weeks debating:
> Is this even a good idea?
> Maybe the title needs work…
> Is this really what my audience wants?
> Wait, should this be a short instead of a long-form?
Great questions to ask, but not always.
Perfectionism implies you're polishing something that exists.
Most creators are stuck before the thing even exists.
They’re just running simulations in their head.
That’s analysis paralysis.
You’re in your head planning angles, testing titles, watching other videos for inspiration, even "researching."
It feels like work. But you're not building anything. You're avoiding the discomfort of committing to a decision.
1. Set brutally short deadlines
> One video idea should only take 24 hours to decide format, title, and angle. No extensions. No “I’ll revisit this next week.”
2. Kill ideas quickly
> If you don't have a solid reason to make something, delete it. Letting it sit in a doc drains energy from the ideas that do excite you.
> If your process changes every video, of course you're anxious. Build templates for scripting, editing, thumbnail ideation. Use systems to reduce decision fatigue.
4. Get feedback post-publish, not pre-publish
> You don't need a committee of friends to approve your script before you upload. Let the audience tell you what worked.
> The first few hours or days don’t tell you much. If checking numbers makes you spiral, don’t look for 48 hours. Let the video breathe. Go work on the next one.
6. Give yourself permission to fail
> This one’s hard but important. You need to expect that some videos will bomb. When failure is part of the plan, you stop trying to dodge it and you just keep moving.
