🧵YouTube doesn't care about hard work. Have you ever spent 50 hours...

But that couldn't be further away from the truth. YouTube doesn’t care about your late nights or how many edits you made.
YouTube only cares about one thing: how people respond.
If your video doesn’t get clicked, doesn’t hold attention, and doesn’t make people want to watch more, the effort doesn't matter.
1. Watch time
2. Strong idea
3. Consistency of quality
This is everything YouTube cares about. If you can hold attention longer than other videos, YouTube pushes you harder.
Why? Because the longer people watch, the more ads YouTube can show, and that means more money for them.
At the end of the day, YouTube only cares about making money. So if your videos help YouTube do that, they’ll reward you by pushing your content to more viewers.
The best way to get YouTube on your side is to make videos that keep people watching longer.
No one clicks on your video because it's in high resolution or because of expensive gear. They click because of the idea behind it.
You could film paint drying and if that idea makes people curious enough, they’ll click.
Unfortunately this is where most people fail. They focus on execution and forget packaging.
Execution is definitely important, don't get me wrong, but obsessing over the editing and completely ignore whether anyone even cares about the topic in the first place is a waste of time.
By "quality", I don't mean 4K video with cinematic edits, I mean:
> Value
> Clear audio
> No distractions
> Structured video
Consistency of quality tells YouTube that your channel always satisfies its viewers. That gives YouTube the confidence that you are able to retain people on their platform.
And it goes back to the point I made, YouTube only cares about money so if you can assure them that you can make them money, they'll continue pushing your channel.
