How to monetize your audience (even if you don't have anything to sell):

Build an email list/community.

There's 1 main purpose of this:

> To capture your audience's attention and store it for later use

Let's say you accidentally created a viral video but have no way of monetizing it except YouTube AdSense (which is pennies compared to what you can make with a backend product).

You just lost out on tons of attention because it only lasted until the end of your viral video, and then the viewers went back into the dark abyss of YouTube.

But if you had an email list/community, you could've used 2 seconds in your video to redirect viewers to give you their email or join your community.

That way, you can come up with a product (that makes sense) to sell and launch it via your channel + email list/community.

So even if the video on your channel doesn't go viral, you still have tons of viewers who are invested into you even though the virality had already ended.
