Wei Ying wasn’t sure how he had gotten into this stupid fucking...

“No need. I have informed my husband for you. He should be here momentarily,” Wei Ying answered looking bored.
“What?” the man asked. He looked terrified.
“We should go, if he knows our location we should go!” One man shouted.
Just then the door of the dwelling they were hiding in was kicked down.
Lan Zhan looked at Wei Ying’s wrists tied together. His eyes turned cold.
“Now Lan Zhan, I’m fine. They didn’t hurt me. Let’s just try to negotiate…”
One of the men put a knife to Wei Ying’s throat. “Don’t move!” he shouted at Lan Zhan.
“I’m fine Lan Zhan don’t fuss! See? I activated the tracker talisman straight away wasn’t that good of me?” he coaxed.
“You are forbidden to leave cloud recesses without me,” Lan Zhan replied.
Wei Ying rolled his eyes.
Lan Zhan nodded and kissed his nose. “Mn. I am.”
Wei Ying smiled. “Do I get a reward?”
“I would like for my husband to tell me my favourite story of that one time when he was six and put on his Uncle’s robes and made himself a beard out of straw…”
“Wei Ying…”Lan Zhan said in a suffering voice.
“That’s what I want Lan Zhan!”
Wei Ying giggled. “Yes! This is going to be worth getting kidnapped for!”
Lan Zhan growled.
“I mean, kidnapping is so scary! I was so afraid! Hold me tighter husband!”
Wei Ying sighed and leaned into him. “Hey, maybe next time I’ll get kidnapped by a clan who provides decent food. All they gave me was bread and water Lan Zhan!”
“You can’t protect me from everyone, Lan Zhan.”
“Mn. Can. If my wayward husband will do as he is told.”
“If only he would!” Wei Ying cried.
“Husband, I went through a traumatic experience today. Can’t you be nice to me?”
Lan Zhan sighed and kissed his cheek. “I am glad you are safe. You are my most precious possession.”
“Wei Ying is more important than Bichen.”
“Lan Zhan! You can’t say that right now! Bichen might drop out of the sky like a stone and kill us both!”
“Bichen would not. Bichen is obedient, unlike some others.”
“Lan Zhan!” Wei Ying laughed.
Lan Zhan kissed his forehead. “Good. Wei Ying is irreplaceable.”
Lan Zhan smirked in the dark. “Well if you can’t sleep…”
Wei Ying yelped as he was flung onto his back, then laughed as his husband lunged at him.
Lan Zhan looked unconvinced. “You are more akin to a deadly nightshade,” he said kissing Wei Ying’s throat.
