A simple 7 step process to think strategically:
2
1) Where are you?

What’s your current situation?

Be honest with yourself.
3
2) Where do you want to be?

What’s your goal?

It can be anything from something big like doubling your sales in six months…

To something small such as getting your first client.
4
3) What’s stopping you?

What obstacles are in your way?

What’s preventing you from reaching your goal?
5
4) What can help you?

What resources do you have that could help?

For example time, money, and knowledge.
6
5) How can you get there?

List every possible option to reach your goal.

Then keeping the above points in mind…

Pick the most suitable.
7
6) What are the details?

Get specific with the tasks you need to do.

And when you need to do them.
8
7) What are you going to monitor?

Make sure you check your progress.

You want to know what’s working and what’s not working.

So you can make any necessary changes.

To sum up:

1) Where are you?

2) Where do you want to be?

3) What’s stopping you?

4) What can help you?

5) How can you get there?

6) What are the details?

7) What are you going to monitor?
