And now we've got a lead magnet, the next step is to create a landing page for it.

In this context, that means...

A page where the sole focus is to get your prospect to give you their email address in exchange for your lead magnet.

Also known as a squeeze page.
4
What tool should you use to create your squeeze page?

It doesn't matter.

ClickFunnels, Leadpages, Thrive Themes...

Or any other option.

They're all good, go with whatever you prefer.

Don't get hung up on the technology.
5
Especially as an effective squeeze page is easy to create.

Here's how:

Start with an almost completely blank page.

No logo, header, sidebar, or navigation.

All you want is a minimal footer with your copyright information and legal links.

Then you add a headline...
6
And you've already written it.

It's the title of your lead magnet.

Sticking with the example from the previous thread:

"How 11,413 Women Have

Lost 7lbs in 7 Days"

With This Simple Meal-Timing Trick"

Just above it you want a line like:
7
"Read This FREE Report"

Or:

"FREE VIDEO:"

To make sure your prospects are aware it's free.

Under the headline goes...
8
Your opt-in form.

Ask for your prospects' best email address.

And optionally for their name.

The downside of asking for their name is you'll get fewer people subscribing.

The upside...
9
They'll be more qualified.

And you can use their name in your emails.

Which almost always leads to more open, clicks, and sales.

And make sure you always have a disclaimer directly under your opt-in form.

Something like:
10
"Your information is 100% secure and will never be shared with anyone."

Then the final element is the submit button.

But don't call it a submit button. People don't want to submit.

And effective button copy could be a thread in itself.

For now:
11
"Get Instant Access"

Will work fine.

As for the design of the page...

Keep it simple:
12
Dark text.

Plain, light background.

Use a large, easy to read font for the headline.

And centre everything.

And that's it!

Really?
13
Well, it's the perfect starting point.

It focuses on your promise with zero distractions.

And it might be all you need. I've had great results with it.

But you can test adding extra elements.

And we'll look at those in my next thread.

So to sum up...
14
Your squeeze page wants:

- Your lead magnet title as the headline.

- A preheader stating it's free.

- An opt-in form for email address and/or name.

- A minimal footer with copyright and legal links.

- A simple design.

- And no other distractions.
