In the first clip above, you can see how obvious it was from the start that Soobin did not want to do the “LIVE”.
Kai and Yeonjun clearly expected Soobin to decline the call on purpose. This must be why staff pre-recorded it… to avoid Soobin intentionally messing it up live.

Why would Soobin not want to do this “LIVE”?
TXT members clearly knew they had to act out a company-enforced PR script in this “LIVE” (as I explain later in this thread), which Soobin was rebelling against. But TXT also took the opportunity to communicate their own messages.

Soobin’s laughs at YJ’s fake coughs* and BG’s sarcastic comments to watch out for “colds” (aka his and SB’s fake coughs earlier), make it obvious they were poking fun at the “LIVE” being fake.

For context, WeVerse “LIVE” streams can be pre-recorded and aired at a scheduled time.
TXT’s Nov 17, 2024 pre-hiatus video was also pre-recorded, and the company aired it as if it happened live. But the vid aired WITH the abrupt cut, and no live viewers saw what was cut at 0:40.
It’s also clear that significant time passed during the footage that was cut at 0:40 in the clip: The members commented about not having the tripod, and Yeonjun was holding the phone right before the cut. Right after, Taehyun was holding it and it was already on the tripod.
Also WeVerse LIVEs sometimes lag, but lag in REAL streams never appears like a split second cut where a lot of time passed. Typically lag appears as long frozen frames or jerky stop-motion, NOT like how it does in the vid.

Beomgyu also refers to Soobin and Yeonjun as “처 (cheo)” in that clip, which is an old-fashioned word for “wife”. It sounds similar to “차 (cha) = car”, so Beomgyu bypassed censorship for people not listening closely.

Note that TXT acting out how the “lag” censorship of Yeonbin worked is the ONLY context that makes 100% of their words/actions in the above clip make PERFECT SENSE.

It’s obvious from how TXT laughs at Soobin acting “sick” like he’s in a “horror” that the fake PR scripts abt Soogyu fanservice & Yeonbin censorship are a big reason why Soobin got depressed and went on hiatus in 2024 and why the members agreed to protest the company’s treatment.
