One of the best ways to burn belly fat is not long-distance...

There's a type of workout called the Pyramid Walking Workout I use to help my clients burn belly fat.
Here's how you can apply it to your body:
Endurance cardio takes 2–3 hrs/week, can wreck your joints if rushed, may burn muscle & can spike cortisol, potentially leading to more belly fat, not less.
Also, most overdo it and end up further back than where they started.
When it comes to getting lean, I’d pick walking over running any day.
It’s low-impact, joint-friendly, muscle-sparing, stress-reducing, and burns more visceral fat.
Plus, you can multi-task if you have an under-the-desk treadmill.
Start that pace matching your fitness level.
Warm up: 5 min (6 out of 10 intensity)
Phase 1: +0.5–1 speed, +1 incline (10 min)
Phase 2: +0.3–1 speed, +1 incline (10 min)
Phase 3: +1–1.5 speed, +1–2 incline (5 min)
Cool down: 1 min slow, nose breathe.
Use Strava, MapMyRun, or Runkeeper to track pace, distance, and elevation.
Warm up: 5 min (6 out of 10 intensity)
Phase 1: +10% pace
Phase 2: +15%
Phase 3: +17.5–20% (might look like an Olympic speed walker)
Cool down: return to warm-up pace.
This is great because your body has a natural ability to adapt to activities like walking.
After you go you ramp up intensity so your body doesn't adapt.
1. Scale the speed and the incline up or down depending on your fitness level.
2. The longer you do this, the less it will be effective, especially as you lose weight.
3. You can also add a weight vest and/or do hilly areas to increase intensity.
Things I've experienced from this is my brain functions better, energy levels are up & stress levels are down.
And when combined with my diet and weights, my waistline has gone down as well.
