B1 helps lower lactate, and therefore histamine, by its role in pyruvate dehydrogenase. “Within 4 hours of administration of the first dose of thiamine, all patients’ blood lactate concentrations declined and clinical status significantly improved.” [PMCID: PMC10731935]
