First of all, men can and absolutely are civilians too and the fact men are killed more often does not mean combatants are killed more often. Secondly, AP has always held water for Israel and this “analysis” is a shoddy piece of work with tons of missing and incomplete data.

Palestinian men deserve to live too. Women and children being killed “less than men” also does not mean that Israel is targeting less civilians. It is often the men who are out there trying to find food or a new place of refuge which marks them as a target.

As those men are out there, many being bombed while they are getting aid, while they are trying to bury others, trying to get food for their families, trying to help pull people out of the rubble…they leave their wives & kids in a hidden or safe place of refuge.

Based on the video evidence we have alone of the countless Palestinian men doing all of the above, we can easily deduce that they are often in the direct line of the targeted attacks by the IOF…hence more of them being killed.

It is actually so simple to see why Palestinian men would be targeted more often by the IOF and why more of them would be killed if you knew anything about Palestinian men or if you knew anything about what war fucking is and how/what it does to people.

Most importantly, it has been confirmed both within genocide studies and within the International Human Rights Law framework that genocide is always gendered. The genocidal entity targets men more often in order to destroy the lineage & possibility of reproduction.

Which is why during the Bosnian Genocide more men were killed. They would massacre women too…but they would target men in particular and then they would systematically rape women so that they would birth Serbs. Patriarchal genocidal entities function within those terms .
