In the year before the massacre Paddock bought 33 firearms, mostly rifles, and the ATF wasn't notified because he bought them all individually. They're only notified about bulk sales. He had to have known about this, right? cbsnews.com/news/las-vegas…

Most of the guns in the hotel room were from one Sportsman's Warehouse in Reno. The bump stocks however, are untraceable. And many of his guns at his two houses in Mesquite and Verdi were purchased at gun shows and were untraceable mercurynews.com/2017/10/07/whe…

Douglas Haig is the Arizona aerospace engineer who sold armor-piercing bullets to Paddock. Paddock flew to Haig's home in Phoenix just to by the stuff. Just a small window into the world of gun shows and gun hobbyists that Paddock was a part of. apnews.com/article/shooti…

Haig and Paddock had previously met at two gun shows in Vegas and Phoenix, and Haig also sold him tracer rounds, which help you aim better. I really think Paddock was part of a wider social circle of gun nuts that the FBI isn't telling us about.

Before the massacre Paddock ranted to people about, surprise surprise, Waco, Ruby Ridge, FEMA camps and gun control. My question is, who were these mysterious people he was speaking to? globalnews.ca/news/4214268/s…

This witness thought Paddock was talking to an "associate." That's how close they seemed. Anyway, here are the 1200 documents the media had to sue the LVMPD to release. npr.org/sections/thetw…

This busser at Mandalay Bay served drinks to Paddock and a Filipina woman on Oct. 1 in the noodle shop. Again, not his girlfriend. Was this the same "Asian woman" who was seen with Paddock by the valet?

And then there's the guy who met Paddock at the Bass Pro Shop to sell him schematics. Paddock wanted to buy auto sears which are illegal, and then ranted about the FEMA camp stuff. What was Paddock doing? Trying to see if this guy was a fellow right wing nut?

The above report sounds like Paddock was trying to entrap that guy in a really clumsy way. And I don't know what this means, but Paddock would lie in bed moaning and screaming nbcnews.com/storyline/las-…

Regarding the woman he was seen with at the noodle shop - he did indeed eat there, fwiw

Hope this isn't annoying, but around 4:20 in this cell phone footage there are 2 different gunshot sounds, one lower and one higher, and they're not happening at the same time. Any gun people know what that is? youtu.be/B6fE2JkvVoo?si…

What is clear is that Paddock was a normal person at one point - generous, goofy, caring youtu.be/OVDYMnuyUXY?si…

Police mysteriously went to the 31st floor; waited an hour to breach the door; provided three different timelines of events; and MGM wouldn't tell when Campos first heard the shots youtu.be/xW9VTu6s0Tw?si…

Just a look at Paddock's thought process as he planned the massacre. The blue hose is connected to some kind of breathing device because he anticipated that police would be using tear gas. Did he intend to fight it out with police and escape?

The elaborate planning is one thing - his psychological decline is another. I can actually imagine that years of gambling, solitude, and a genetic predisposition for mental illness could do this to him. But really, no one hurt him, so what is he talking about here?

"He seemed like he was in a trance." That sentence is going to haunt me.
18
I could be persuaded that gambling alone was responsible for his decline.

This statement about the way informants talk, from Johnny Bangerter (qtd. in Aberration) reminds me of Paddock’s repeated, over the top statements to people about FEMA camps, “people have to pay,” etc

At least two of the people he ranted to about conspiracy theories and perpetrating mass violence ended up in prison. Was he targeting felons on purpose?
21
What is clear is that he was part of a culture that attended gun rallies, bought lots of guns, and shared right wing conspiracy theories. His decline didn't happen in a vaccuum

More from Aberration about the way PATCON informants worked

While PATCON is gone, its tactics are still heavily used in the post 9/11 era

There's also the mystery of which predecessor to Lockheed Martin he worked for in 85-88. Martin Marietta was based in Bethesda and I haven't seen any evidence that he lived there; more likely it was Lockheed in SoCal where he owned real estate properties foxbusiness.com/markets/las-ve…
