Hey Freelancers! Your positioning probably sucks... So here's how...

Your positioning probably sucks...
So here's how to fix it:
Your positioning is what you do and...
Most importantly...
How you describe what you do.
And it can be the difference between...
And having prospects lining up to do business with you.
So it's important to get it right.
But most get it wrong as they say something like:
Or:
"Direct response copywriter"
Or:
"Email marketing for coaches and consultants"
And they suck because they focus on the solution.
Which prospects don't care about.
The only things prospects do care about are...
2) And results they don't have and want.
So those are what your positioning should focus on.
And here's how you can do just that...
Then all of the results you can deliver.
And if you're not sure who your ideal client is yet...
You can also list the type of businesses that have those problems and want those results.
Next...
• How urgent the problem is.
• How big the result is.
• And if the business would be able and willing to pay you what you want.
You want to pick:
• One of those results.
• And one of those businesses.
To focus on.
And this is where a lot of people struggle...
But if they try to be everything to everyone.
They'll end up as nothing to no one.
As the proverb goes:
So, to start with at least, focus on...
One problem, one result, one ideal client.
And that's the foundation of your positioning.
To translate that into something you can use...
I help [ideal client] who has [this problem] to get [this result].
For example:
"I help coaches and consultants...
Whose marketing is not adding up to clients...
To create a steady, consistent, predictable flow of ideal clients."
Note...
Because now you've translated what you do into what matters for your prospects:
Problems they don't want.
And results they do want.
Which is how you get them eager to do business with you.
And you...
That's to help get things clear in your own mind.
You can phrase it however you think best.
Just make sure you focus on the problem you solve and the result you deliver.
And you'll have powerful, magnetic positioning.
