Mental moves seem to have trackable somatic shapes.

E.g. If the deeper muscles in my forehead feel like they're curling up like a scorpion's tail, I know I'm subconsciously trying to dominate.

I can then play with ways to move from this shape into a more kind or humble one:🧵

If my head is holding a dominating stance, while my heart has an uplifting or welcoming stance:

Can I relax my face a bit more, and tune into the feeling in my heart, invite it to spread to the rest of my body?

When I notice my mind's desire to assert dominance, can I feel into the shape of that move so deeply that I discover what's underneath?

Maybe a lack of safety, a fear, an unmet need.

I can then address this in whatever way honors this moment & everyone in it.

If I notice myself posturing, an instant killswitch is narrating:

"Btw I said that in a tone as if I know more about this topic than you. Did you catch that? Trying to create an air of superiority. I guess a part of me feels insecure, but that's for me to deal with, not you."

If I notice a pattern isn't helpful to the context, I can negotiate a different context (present or future) in which the pattern actually makes things fun:

"Hey, how would you all feel about playing a game of one-upmanship together?"

What if I use the move on the move itself? The energy is there already!

If I notice I'm subtly trying to establish dominance, I can whip that intention until it obeys, sits quietly & only dominates when its being commanded to do so.

& it still got to do it’s thing. Win-win!

"You can just love (all) things."

Whatever's happening, I can always love it all, and love becomes the stance I embody.
