"The devil isn’t afraid of Christians who believe the truth... he’s afraid of the ones who obey it."

A thread exposing the lies society wants you to believe about Christianity.

1. “The Bible is outdated and oppressive.”
2
Lie: “It’s anti-woman, anti-freedom, anti-progress.”

Truth: The Bible isn’t oppressive—it’s ordered and righteous. It gives dignity to all made in God’s image.

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28)

2. “Church is a cult.”

Lie: “Christianity is brainwashing—just control tactics and groupthink.”

Truth: Some offshoots that claim to be Christian are cults—they shame you, shun you if you disobey, and demand blind loyalty.

But true Christianity is the opposite:

It welcomes the worst of the worst, calls them to healing, and invites obedience—not through force, but through love.

Just look at Jesus and the woman at the well (John 4):
4
She’d been married five times and was living with a man who wasn’t her husband.

Instead of shaming her, Jesus speaks truth with compassion.
He doesn’t avoid her sin—but He also doesn’t lead with condemnation.

He offers her living water—and she leaves transformed.

That’s not a cult.

That’s a King who tells the truth and still chooses to sit with you.

3. "It's all a money grab"

Lie: “Tithing is a scam. Preachers are just getting rich.”

Truth:

God isn’t against wealth.

Faithful pastors deserve to be paid well.

And generosity isn’t legalism—it’s obedience with discernment.
6
When I moved to Tennessee, I tithed to a church full of strangers.

I had no idea where the money was going—but I gave in faith.

Since then, God has grown my business.

But the real blessing?

9 months later, the church bought a house for a single mom fostering 5 kids.
7
That’s what my tithe went to.

That’s what happens when believers give with a cheerful heart.

I believe in tithing.

God multiplies it. It strengthens faith.

But are you going to hell if you don’t tithe?

No. You’re saved by grace, not 10%.
8
If your church lacks integrity—use wisdom.

But if you're in a solid, Bible-preaching church…

Give with joy.

God doesn’t need your money, but He uses it.

And when you give in faith, you get to watch Him work.
9
4. Christians are just hypocrites.”

Lie: “They preach morality but don’t live it—so it’s all fake.”

Truth (Romans 3:23): “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

The gospel isn’t about perfection—it’s about forgiveness and transformation.
10
David committed adultery and murder… then wrote most of the Psalms.

Paul murdered Christians… then wrote most of the New Testament.

Peter denied Jesus three times… and Jesus still made him a leader.

God doesn’t use perfect men—He perfects broken ones.
11
Christians aren’t claiming to be flawless.

They’re claiming to be forgiven, changed, and under construction.

If you see a Christian fail, don’t blame Jesus.

He’s not done with them yet.

And if He can redeem men like that—He can redeem you too.
12
5. “Christians hate anyone who’s different.”

Lie: “They use the Bible to justify bigotry.”

Truth (Matt. 5:44): “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

True Christians are called to radical love.

Not agreement—but compassion with conviction.
13
I once led a Bible study where I said homosexuality is a sin—just like many other sins—but that Christians should respond with love and grace, while still calling people to obedience.

What I didn’t know: someone in that group was actively living that lifestyle.
14
They asked for a refund and left the group, thinking I was justifying hate.

But here’s the truth:

Love doesn’t mean approval.

If sin separates us from God, then it’s loving to call it out—gently, truthfully, and with grace.

Love tells the truth—even when it’s costly.
15
6. “Faith is a crutch for the weak.”

Lie: “Only broken, unintelligent people need religion to cope.”

Truth (Proverbs 1:7):

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.”

Faith isn’t weakness. It’s the foundation of wisdom.
16
Daniel was the most elite, educated man in Babylon—yet he refused to compromise his faith.

Paul was a scholar trained under Gamaliel—top-tier intellect, Roman citizen, fluent in multiple languages.

Both gave everything to follow Christ. Not because they were weak—but because they were wise.
17
Today?

David Green, billionaire founder of Hobby Lobby, builds his business on biblical values.

And YoungHoon Kim—world record holder for the highest IQ—publicly professes:
18
“Jesus Christ is Lord.”

Faith isn’t for the fragile. It’s for those who recognize ultimate truth.
