The average Spaniard lives nearly 10 years longer than the average...

Walk through a grocery store in Madrid vs. America:
Spain:
• Fresh, local ingredients
• Food cooked from scratch
• Minimal processing
• Real ingredients you can pronounce
America has incredible food access, but we've overcomplicated it.
The solution?
Shop the perimeter.
Cook more.
Read labels.
Simple beats complicated every time.
Spaniards don't separate "exercise" from living:
• Walk to cafés instead of driving
• Take stairs naturally
• Evening strolls with friends
• Active social gatherings
Americans often think: gym OR nothing.
Spaniards think: move constantly AND hit the gym when you want.
The lesson?
The gym amplifies it.
Walk more.
Take stairs.
Move your body throughout the day.
Then use resistance training to build strength and muscle on top of that foundation.
Spain got this right: Rest = strength, not weakness.
They take siestas, long lunches, slow evenings.
The culture rewards restoration.
As Christians, we know God literally commanded rest (Sabbath).
Result when we actually rest:
→ Sharper decision-making
→ Better recovery from workouts
Rest isn't laziness…
It's stewardship of what God gave you.
Spaniards spend 90 minutes on meals.
When Jesus shared His final meal, He didn’t rush it.
He broke bread. Gave thanks. Sat with His brothers.
That wasn’t just dinner—it was communion.
A sacred moment of presence, reflection, and love.
What if every meal—even a quick one—could echo that?
You need intention:
• Pause to pray
• Break bread slowly—don't rush the time with your loved ones
• Give thanks to God for the food He provided
And here’s what’s amazing: science backs this too…
Food isn’t just fuel.
It’s a daily opportunity to remember who you are, who God is, and how deeply you're loved.
Make your meals more than a task.
Make them a moment of worship.
Spain averages 30+ days of vacation.
They work to live, not live to work.
As Christian entrepreneurs, we can learn from this.
God called us to be productive AND present.
To build wealth AND enjoy His blessings.
To work hard AND rest well.
Spain practices balanced work-life integration.
Not productivity addicted grinding
Spaniards live deeply connected:
• Multi-generational households
• Regular family meals
• Strong friendships
Loneliness literally shortens lifespan.
Community strengthens everything:
→ Mental health
→ Stress resilience
→ Accountability (including fitness goals)
You can't supplement genuine relationships.
Take Spain's wisdom and apply it to our context:
• Eat real food + track it when needed
• Move daily + resistance train 3-4x/week
• Rest without guilt + optimize sleep quality
• Slow meals + proper nutrition timing
• Work-life boundaries + entrepreneurial drive
• Deep community + accountability systems
• Real food
• Regular movement
• Consistent rest
• Genuine connection
• Purposeful work
Spain accidentally follows this blueprint.
We can do it intentionally.
It's to combine the best of both.
That's how you build a body that honors God and serves His people for decades.
