1/ First and foremost, we improved the curation. We started assigning article production of the most viral possible content taken from Facebook Pages that produce the most viral content possible.
We assigned the content quicker and in higher numbers. We also tested the content out on other pages first so by the time it reached this Facebook Page, we already knew the post had a higher chance of going viral.

2/ We improved the article image templates to be more visually appealing and that encourage higher click through rates (without getting spam violations).

3/ We made the captions longer, more detailed with useful information while leaving out the juiciest information, thus encouraging the viewer to click through to the website to learn more.

4/ We started sharing super viral meme and photo shares, and are now introducing viral videos, which brings up the overall reach and engagement of the page. Since this brings up the baseline reach of the entire page, it also brings up the reach of image+link in first comment posts, which leads to more traffic. These posts of course also came with Content Monetization earnings for a double income whammy.

5/ Unfortunately the RPM's on the website attached to this Facebook Page SUCKED big time. Instead of the usual $25 to $35 RPMs most of our sites get for this kind of content, the RPMs were stuck around $8 to $12 - ugh!
After recovering from a hissy fit of thinking about all the missed income and opportunity cost of the traffic we were sending - we decided to start sending traffic to other high RPM websites in our network (that's also why you only see data for a few weeks in the screenshot above). This resulted in strong traffic which continued to grow, in tandem with higher RPMs.
The difference between a $10 RPM and a $35 RPM is huge.

In summary, be ready to pivot and think creatively!
