I recently found a Facebook Page that grew from 0 to 48,000,000(!!) followers faster than any I’ve ever seen. Seriously, this thing’s growth has been meteoric.
How? It has the strongest meme sharing strategy I’ve ever seen, with posts consistently getting the highest level engagement out of almost any Page that I’ve ever seen.

1/ First and foremost, they are posting very simple, very FUNNY memes that are highly accessible to a mass audience. There is no niche stuff here to be found.

2/ They are taking viral photos and making simple updates to them such as by adding a caption or text to the top of the photo. Facebook classifies this as ‘original content’ and pays more for content like this.

5/ They use a ton of pop culture references - again, because these things are easily accessible and have immediate recognition by a huge amount of people.

6/ They cater to their Page and target demographic. In this case their audience skews younger, hence why all of the humor on the Page skews so much younger too.

7/ They recently started adding Reels and videos. Many of their Reels are super simple and only a couple seconds long, but have really good views and engagement. You can tell they’re still figuring out their Reels strategy as they’re not getting nearly as many engagements as some of their photo shares.

8/ They’re sharing tons of posts a day - 29 per day to be exact. The more posts you share on Facebook, the more Page reach and engagement you’ll get, and the more they’ll pay you.

9/ They have awesome branding. These one-word Page names are excellent and they chose a word that most of the planet can relate to and loves, especially in their target market of US followers - sarcasm. For their profile picture they also used a profile picture of one of the most famous pop culture figures who was most well known for their sarcasm - Chandler Bing from Friends, one of the most popular shows of all time. And their cover photo is also very witty and clever. All of this helps.

10/ What should they do next? They’re missing out on crazy money by not driving traffic to a website from this Page. They can do tons of link shares in the form of a photo + link in first comment post that drives traffic to a Raptive-monetized website. I reckon they can at least double their income from this approach, and their income should already be excellent from the Facebook Performance Bonus or Creator Monetization program.

12/ Some commenters are saying this isn’t a new page - yes of course it isn’t. You can’t get to 38 million followers in a few months. But they got to this point magnitudes faster than 99% of other pages, every time I’d look at this page it would have millions more followers while others of a similar size were stuck at the exact same level.
