What made this odd at the time is that he'd recently won a long & expensive court battle to be able to bury her in that original location, but then he undertook the illegal & controversial action to move the body.

🧵2/ In the article, we learn that RFK owed his dead wife's family nearly $300k, so it's weird that he'd open himself up to more expensive litigation by not getting a permit. As a lawyer, he also clearly knew better, but took the risk anyway.
