THE US CRYPTO STRATEGIC RESERVE3d

Lets talk about the biggest scam i have seen in 35 years of professional investing

as you know yesterday Trump announced the following

Crypto are open 24/7

So yesterday after announcement, crypto broke a downward trend which was risking MSTR and others to be margin called

as a curious coincidence the crypto "czar" (Russia is en vogue these days in the US Government) appointed by Trump to oversee crypto regulation
Mr David Sacks, is also managing a crypto ETF, $BITW

Guess the top 5 holdings

What is the USA gonna do with the "Strategic reserve"

I see 2 options

1) the Treasury or the Fed buys cryptos like any other asset, thinking to sell high and buy low.
Like SNB or the BOJ do with stocks and like QE was doing for bonds

like any mkt player

2) The Treasury says that the 5 cryptos can be used to pay taxes, so they are fully fungible with money

This is unlikely as it would instantly add some 3/4 trn to USA M1 and M0 with obvious inflationary effects. And on top not controling the crypto printing press

so lets limit to Option 1)

The USA Treasury or the Fed is buying cryptos, we just dont know the following

a) USA running deficit to gdp of 6.5% is trying to cut spending by 1trn according to doge. Cuts are very painful from the human standpoint. Its firing people

so while cutting, the USA will have to fund the crypto buying...i wonder how this is gonna be sold to the public

b) DT picked winners and losers, not markets. By choosing himself which crypto is in, and which isnt

8/n
9
looks really like the payback to some crypto barons which financed his campaign

But i guess those barons were wearing a suit

c) crypto is one of the most unproductive industry i have ever seen

My view on crypto reflects the one of @CliffordAsness

Cryptos as an asset has no yield, no physical use, no intrinsic value, consumes a lot of energy

Saying cryptos are digital gold is bollocks. Gold has many physical uses.

What is the gold/like use of cryptos in digital industry?

10/n
11
none, zero, nada, apart from a giant money laundering scheme.

Last a technical note

Some people say that Crypto assets have "moneyness" so they can be transformed into money (dollars)

11/n
12
Sorry to be pedant:
what defines moneyness is the possibility of "ECONOMICALLY and RAPIDLY transform your assets into money" (liquidabilità in ita)

To the respect Tbills have the highest moneyness. The can be transformed into dollars at face value any moment

12/n
13
You think the same applies to crypto?? are they "store of value"

I wouldnt think so

Good luck USA, you are debasing all possible values. Economic and not
