The Market is Only Testing Your "Consistency": Not Your Price...

Why do many traders fail?
They focus on "whether they can win the next trade" and are fixated on predicting individual trades.
However, the market is random in the short term.
You can lose with a perfect entry, and you can win with a random entry.
Once you've created a system (strategy) with an edge through a large sample size, maintaining consistency becomes the most important thing.
Tests the market sets for you:
• Do you start doubting your system when losing streaks continue?
• Do you panic during drawdowns?
• Do you break rules when you start winning?
• Do you break rules trying to recover after a loss?
• Do you force trades out of impatience when there are no trading opportunities?
• Do you want to secure profits early when they appear?
These are all "consistency tests."
The market is not testing your predictive ability, but whether you can repeatedly follow the rules indicated by an effective strategy, a system with an edge that has been tested through a large sample size in advance, without being swayed by random results.
Truths for maintaining consistency:
1. Short-term results are always random
2. The statistical edge of a system only appears in the long term
3. Winning or losing individual trades is not "success/failure"
4. Only whether you followed the rules matters
5. There are more things you "should stop doing" than things you "should know" to win
Many traders "know" these truths but ignore them in actual behavior.
There is a big gap between knowledge and action.
It needs to be elevated to deep understanding through experience, not just mere knowledge.
The essence of trading is not prediction, but consistency.
The randomness of the market constantly exposes our weaknesses, confuses us, and tries to make us deviate from our system.
Excellent traders are not trying to predict "the next price movement."
They are dedicated to repeating the same process with a verified edge system, whether they win or lose.
After all, any strategy ultimately leads to a test of consistency, and you cannot succeed unless you pass this test.
This is a test of whether you have truly become a "trader" in the real sense.
