It is easy to look at a completed chart and find signals🧵

You need to develop that "eye" and be able to spot signals from the chart before the outcome is known.

Anyone can look at a completed chart and find signals afterward.

Haven't you thought, while looking at a completed chart, "If I had entered here and done this, I could have made a profit"?
The problem with this is that you cannot find the trades that would have resulted in a stop-loss if you had actually entered.
Probably, you will only find the winning points.

In reality, we need to be able to spot signals without knowing the outcome and make decisions in that uncertainty.
Practice is important for developing that "eye."

Without practice, it is difficult to spot signals in actual trading, and you won't be able to take the right actions at the right time. After it's over, you realize, "I should have entered" or "That was an entry point."

I always recommend doing backtesting "manually" because I emphasize the importance of conducting backtesting not just for data but as practice.

From a chart where the outcome is unknown, you identify signals according to the rules, enter trades, and experience either wins or losses.
By repeating this, you "experience" the process of randomness converging.
This is what is important in practice.

You need to develop your eye and also experience the process of randomness converging.

The win rate indicated by the data only appears in the distant future after experiencing randomness over a long period.
Even if data from a large sample size shows a 60% win rate, it doesn't mean you will immediately achieve 60%.
It includes periods of low win rates and high win rates, and the average over a large sample size is 60%.

You need to not only understand this intellectually but also "experience" the random events that occur in sequence many times and understand them with your body.
This is precisely what practice is.

We traders need to identify signals from charts where the outcome is unknown, make decisions, maintain consistency while being caught in randomness, and ultimately make the law of large numbers work through a large sample size.

What makes this possible is "practice," and you need to sublimate it into a physical skill.
Mere intellectual understanding will not change you.

You will most believe what you have actually experienced.
It may feel tedious, but practice is extremely important and necessary to hone your skills.

Of course, there may be other ways, but I have practiced more than anyone else and honed my sense of consistency, so I can guarantee the effectiveness of practice.
It takes a lot of time, but I think it will be beneficial for you, so please do your best.
