Is anyone else seeing a huge increase in web traffic from Facebook...

This is a snapshot from a small health website that we run that’s taken off since around mid-December. Of course, as many may know, topics and brands around health always do better in January after everyone is trying to recover from their hedonistic blowouts over the holidays.
Let’s see if we can keep the good times rolling (and growing) over the coming months!
Earnings and traffic are way up even though RPM’s are down this month, see the posts in the replies below for more details including the strategies behind making this traffic happen.
Mind you, these earnings are strictly earnings from ads on the website from traffic sent from Facebook. This doesn’t include earnings from the Bonus program or any affiliate links on the website, which is another juicy sum on top of this.
A) First curate super viral content from pages that focus on doing link shares (usually in image + link in first comment format)
B) Then write the article and create an engaging frame for it. Make sure to choose articles and headlines that have a higher click through rate. How? Do not give away the whole answer in the headline or in the image itself. Don’t make it too clickbait of course, but do leave a reason for them to be intrigued to click to the website to learn more.
C) Finally, go ahead and distribute it on as many of your pages as possible. 10% of your content will produce 90% of the results, so focus on distributing that 10% as far and wide as possible. Don’t overdo it so as not to get spam violations.
A) If you see multiple elite Facebook pages sharing the same or similar piece of content about the same subject, that should give you an insight as to that being a solid piece of content that is performing well. All of these pages follow each other and take each others’ topics, so if you see a topic being shared across the board, you know it’s probably a banger.
B) That said, avoid topics that are super oversaturated. These are hit or miss. If you can publish that topic faster than any of your competitors, go for it. However, if you’re already a day or two or three into that news cycle, drop it, by then the audiences will have seen this story dozens of times elsewhere.
C) If you have multiple pages and don’t want to waste your writing resources or limited daily post slots on articles that may flop, consider the Testing strategy. This consists of sharing links to third party sites on one of your smaller pages. For the posts that do the best and have the highest click through rate, push those posts to production and then share them on your larger and juicier pages. This is the method that the most elite Facebook pages use to get the best results and most traffic to their website (don’t tell them we told you ;)
