You can build connections by;

✓ Providing value

✓ Attending IRL events

✓ Paying tithes

✓ Sending meaningful cold DM's.

✓ Providing value: This is most important because no one wants to connect with someone who has nothing  to offer them and would see them as a nuisance.

Find what counts as value to the person you want to connect with and offer to provide it.

This can be used for jobs too

I once offered to write for someone I look up to in the space for free and after like the first two threads, he sent me money that I didn't expect and we became close friends in this space.

He shares valuable insights and calls with me all the time.

Most times it's hard but you have to be willing to provide value to people you want to connect with as long as the long term goal would be beneficial to both of you.

✓ Paying tithes: I'd just use a story to explain this.

There was this private call channel I've always wanted to join and the price was 0.25 Eth which I couldn't afford then, I knew the owner online but we weren't that close for me to expect him to just add me to the channel.

I really wanted to gain access so one day he posted a Nike can he liked so much, I rushed to ask for the price and it was way more affordable than paying the 0.25 Eth, so I got him the Nike can ( PS: without even knowing if he'd add me to the private group or not ).

Eventually after receiving the gift. He added me to his private. I got the private cause I offered to get him something he loved, which had literally 10x less value than what I wanted from him.
