Just revisiting this. As early as May 2017, Stephen Paddock was TELLING PEOPLE HE WANTED TO KILL PEOPLE. The Vegas PD hid this evidence. reviewjournal.com/crime/homicide…

No one ever interviewed the author of those letters. And for the record, the LVMPD has done everything it can to prevent the release of information on this whole case.
3
Two cops and three security guards inexplicably waited in the hallway while Paddock shot people nbcnews.com/news/us-news/l…

Just got curious about LVMPD Sheriff Joe Lombardo. Army veteran, Republican, Catholic. During his tenure, 2015-23, he added 1100 officers and staff, blamed Vegas’ increased crime on CA’s Prop 47, decentralized detective operations en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Lomba…
5
He successfully ran for governor and was endorsed by Trump. I assume Trump was pleased with Lombardo’s role in preventing Paddock from being linked to Trump’s far right base. Coulda looked bad for Trump if Paddock’s views came out in 2017.
6
I have long believed that the only entity who benefitted from the Vegas massacre was the police. Every act of terrorism is an excuse to militarize them.
7
Former Gov. Steve Sisolak was defeated by Lombardo in his 2022 campaign for governor and he wonders why he wasn't told about these letters.
8
And seriously, what reason on earth did the Vegas PD have for hiding this?
9
"Disappointment in the justice system." What was Paddock's disappointment in the Justice system?
10
Jim Nixon was in prison in Arkansas when he sent some of these. Paddock had straight up told Nixon that he wanted to kill a bunch of people."Don't listen to what the dreams tell you."

Correction: Nixon wrote the last letter the day before he went to prison in Arkansas. But seriously, I wonder why he didn’t tell any authorities that Paddock was amassing guns and talking about shooting people.
