I'm thinking of a very specific flavour of jealous wangxian that's...

like LWJ is very much in love and supportive of his husband but he has also mostly seen him at home, in their shared cozy space.
now, his husband is a charming man, there's no other word for it. But a WWX in his element is a thing of envy.
LWJ knows the affect his husband has on people, he has the first hand experience of being on the receiving end of it. He has no doubt his colleagues are enamoured.
He's seen how the young intern flusters when WWX regards him directly, and he's seen the glint in—
Almost as if they don't know he's married, LWJ thinks unimpressed.
The rational part of his brain knows he's being childish, if WWX gets to know, he'll tease him to no ends.
More than once, WWX has caught someone checking LWJ out and walked right over to talk about just how pretty his husband is.
WWX won't understand LWJ's predicament, he finds himself thinking, almost petulantly. He is not the jealous type.
Not exactly to stake a claim of who he is, but rather, to state loud and clear just *what* they're up against.
If LWJ makes it a point to kiss him everytime he delivers them snacks in the drawing room, well, nothing out of ordinary there. Lan Zhan is a very very loving husband.
He's never been one to mind those, shameless as he is. He very much believes that surplus hickeys was his dowry when he decided to marry Lan Zhan who's bitey in general and bitier in bed.
WWX is too used to it to feel embarrassed at this point.
WWX won't blame him. He was supposed to wrap up earlier today so they could watch a movie tonight.
With LWJ now clearly annoyed, he quickly brings it to an end, ushering the two of them out.
"Wei Ying, I can't find my green shirt."
He turn instinctively. "Must be in the—," the fake smile he had plastered for the lady droning about their upcoming gala freezes, just like the words in his throat.
He frowns. Since when does Lan Zhan parade around like this in front of people? He has his dark slacks on, he even has his belt on. But above it, he's totally bare.
And definitely not helping matters is the red flush on him—
It's his bedroom look.
WWX frowns again. "Must be in the bottom left drawer," he mumbles pitifully.
LWJ nods and walks back inside.
He frowns for third time. Wtf was that all about? He finds out soon when he turns back.
Drooling mouths and two pairs of gawking eyes are still fixed at the empty space LWJ was standing at.
"What are you both looking at, c'mon, get going," he practically shoves them out of the door.
When he walks into the bedroom with a very pointed, "Lan Zhan," he finds him folding laundry as if nothing ever happened.
WWX spends most of the evening frowning and pouting. Finally, at dinner, when he can no longer keep it down, he blurts, "What was the shirt thing all about?"
LWJ blinks innocently and says, "I couldn't find my green shirt, Wei Ying."
Minutes later, he pauses the movie and grabs LWJ's face to turn it towards himself. "Let's get a rack so we don't have to keep your home clothes in the drawer."
"So you can find them easily."
A crease appears between his eyebrows. "But I never lose my stuff."
WWX bends down and places a kiss on his lips, somewhat punishing. "Except when you do, at the worst of times too."
WWX (internally): let's get a rack so you'd stop parading around the house... yk... like a whore (affectionate).
WWX bends down again for another kiss, this one with more teeth. "Very."
For a moment, LWJ looks as if he's discovered some hidden treasure. Then he picks up the remote and presses play.
"Alright, let's get a rack."
