Kimi K3.1 Pro launches at 4th on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index scoring 55, making large gains in agentic performance; it will be the leading open-weights model once its weights are published
@Kimi_Moonshot's new reasoning model gains 11 points over Kimi K3 (max, 44). It trails only Claude Opus 5.5 (max with fallback, 58), Claude Sonnet 5.5 (max with fallback, 56), and Muse Wonder Full (max, 56) on the Intelligence Index.
Once the weights for K3.1 Pro are released it will be the highest-scoring open weights model and the gap between the leading open weights and proprietary models on the Intelligence Index will narrow from 12 points to 3.

Kimi K3.1 Pro's AA-Omniscience Index rises to 30 from 20 for Kimi K3. Accuracy improves slightly to 51% from 48%, while the hallucination rate falls to 44% from 53%, driving most of the index gain. AA-Omniscience rewards models for correct answers while penalizing incorrect answers.

At 2.8T total and 104B active parameters, Kimi K3.1 Pro is the same size as Kimi K3 but scores 11 points higher on the Intelligence Index, placing it at the top of the Pareto frontier on both Intelligence Index vs. Total and Active Parameters. For comparison, MiMo-V2.6-Pro (46) has 1.02T total and 42B active parameters, and GLM-5.3 (max, 45) has 753B total and 40B active.
