And I plan on taking it for the rest of my life.
Why?
Heart health becomes a MUCH bigger priority as you get older.
But not all nattokinase is created equal. FU matters. Quality matters. And the research at 10,800 FU is VERY interesting.
I break down the study, the dose, and exactly why this is part of my daily routine.
Watch this before buying nattokinase. 👇

Claim: 10,800 FU nattokinase daily improves heart health via plaque reduction and better lipids (citing the 2022 Chen study of 1,062 people).
Evidence: One retrospective observational study (no placebo/control, pre-post only, manufacturer-affiliated authors) reported ~22% drop in carotid IMT, ~36% plaque area reduction, and lipid improvements after 12 months. Lower 3,600 FU dose showed no effect.
RCT evidence at lower doses (e.g., 2,000 FU for 3 years) is null for atherosclerosis progression. No trials show reduced heart attacks, strokes, or death. Safety: well-tolerated in that study; theoretical bleeding risk with anticoagulants.
Overall: Promising markers from weak design; not proven clinical benefit.
