There is a certain tick I find in many South Asian / Near Eastern cultures (decreasing as you approach Europe), that I call it “Stare-Smile-And-Lie” (SSAL). During SSAL the South Asian makes eye contact, smiles, and then puts forward a blatant lie that both you and him know is false, but which calling out would be socially costly for you.

The eye contact and smile seem to communicate a challenge halfway between a flex and a dare, saying:

“We both know I am lying, but are you going to throw down and call me out?”

This is extra-infuriating when used against Northern Europeans / Northern Asians who come from cultures that would punish such mendacity harshly. Still, in South Asian cultures this acceptable to do to our groups and sometimes in-groups if you come from India/Pakistan.

We are going to see a lot more of this in coming years.

One in three of the slaves who built this country were Muslims.

They were here long before the Walsh family arrived. You'd know that if you'd studied history but I know MAGA has an issue with studying.

Oh, and I am guessing you don't count slaves as people, or Americans.
