• Get your relevant fitness quals ASAP and start coaching. Even if you’re coaching at a globo gym, the experience will be invaluable. Then, also look for opportunities to work with sports teams, volunteer to help them out. Coach the entire time you’re studying.

• Train yourself religiously. Get a coach/purchase different programs. Also try writing your own programs. Try out things you’re learning in your degree. Do a bit of bodybuilding, do some weightlifting, do some powerlifting, try out different plyo exercises… try it all.

• Find ways to have experiences and learn things that other people in your degree aren’t getting/learning. A great way to do this is to seek out mentors; coaches who are doing what you want to do. Learn from them. Don’t wait until the last year of your degree to do this.

• Network like crazy. This doesn’t mean reaching out to people and asking for things; focus on building mutually beneficial relationships.

This is all stuff I wish someone had told me. If you do these things, I think you put yourself in a great position 👌
