You can fairly judge what a party stands for by the personalities that are hailed or opposed by its hardcore supporters.

Let's check the quick profile of 4 personalities who DMK supporters are vehemently opposing today:
Kakkan, Jeevanandham, Bharathi and K Kamaraj (1/6)

1. Kakkan: a Dalit, a freedom fighter and agriculture minister who lived a simple life till his very end. He Planned the construction of Mettur and Vaigai reservoirs. When his wife asked an officer to buy clay oil for his house, he publicly rebuked her, saying they were public servants, and not royalty. When he died, the government had to arrange funds for his cremation, because he had no money left. He is remembered as an epitome of integrity.

2. Comrade P. Jeevanandham: a rare Communist leader who lived by his principles - wore only khadi, traveled mostly on foot or cycle, and lived in small rented houses or party shelters. Vyasarpadi railway station is named after him, as was Vijay's Jeevanandham character in Kathi. Died penniless.

3. Mahakavi Bharathi: Firebrand poet, reformer, journalist and Enemy Number 1 for the British in TN, he lived in abject poverty, perpetually borrowing rice and salt from his neighbors. Despite his own hunger, he chose to feed the sparrows in his terrace. The first Indian writer whose works were nationalised, the government gave his family a mere ₹15,000 in 1949, his family never materially benefited from his genius. There were more flies on his body than the number of people who attended his funeral.

4. Peruthalaivar Kamaraj: A Class 6 passout who made education free and compulsory and introduced midday meal schemes, catapulting Tamilnadu to world class enrolment in primary education. 7 of TN's top 10 dams were built during his tenure, remaining 3 were built by the British. Refused to take up PMship after Shastri, and made Indira the PM. Fought with his mom for using her CM mom privilege to get a faster piped water connection at his hometown.
At the end of his life, he had left behind Rs.28 in his rented house.

Kamaraj was not a simple man according to DMK supporters because his rented house had an AC.
They highlight his smoking habit now, but fail to mention that he only smoked within his government car (not his own), and not once in public, as he did not want to set a wrong example to youngsters who idolized him. If people start listing the vices of DMK leaders, X's databases would start overflowing.

But they criticize Kamaraj because they don't want you to dream of a Kamaraj rule ever again. If you start holding your public servants to Kamaraj's standards, its curtains down for "commission, collection, corruption" model.

They hate every single Tamil person who lived with integrity, with principles, because they remind these Dtards of everything they lack, of everything they can never be, of respect that they can never earn from the common man's heart. (END)
