#taekookau Jeongguk and Taehyung’s contract relationship was...

- fluff?
- idk what i wrote
- literally no angst
- both are cutie patooties
“Unlike our relationship, my love for her was genuine.”
Jeongguk narrows his eyes, rotating the paper and passing it to Taehyung, putting a pen next to it as well.
Jeongguk hoped Taehyung would choose to do the latter, because he’d like them to be married for a little more time, even if it’s just on paper.
Jeongguk gives him a confused look, brows furrowing.
“Why do you think that?”
“Because you hated being in my presence.” Jeongguk scoffs, but doesn’t say anything.
Taehyung sighs, getting up.
“Well, I guess that’s my cue to leave.” He places the cup back on the table, moving towards the door.
“Mr. Jeon, you have a meeting in an hour,” Jeongguk’s secretary informs him.
“Cancel it, I have lunch with Taehyung at four, you know it,” Jeongguk replies, not looking up from the documents he’s currently reading.
Jeongguk looks up then, his eyes large with disappointment.
“I’ll cancel the meeting anyway? you haven’t had lunch.”
Someone knocks on his door after fifteen minutes, assuming it’s his secretary again, he tells the person to come inside without looking up.
“Hi, I brought lunch.” He looks up at the speed of light.
“You didn’t have to bring lunch.”
“Come, eat.”
“Mrs. Jeon told me that you haven’t been eating, like before.”
He sits opposite to Taehyung, and they start eating silently.
“I’m planning to call him soon.” He says with a mouth full of food.
Taehyung’s eyes widens at that, “I’ll do it myself.” He takes the napkin and pats it on his mouth.
“Don’t skip your meals again, I won’t be around to make sure you eat next time.” Jeongguk visibly slumps at Taehyung’s words, and Taehyung had always been a little soft for his husband.
He hurriedly bids a goodbye to Jeongguk, almost running into a plant on his way.
Taehyung had finally talked to his lawyer, and even though he was dreading signing the papers, he knew he needed to do it for both of their sakes.
He arrives a little early to the restaurant they decided to meet at.
He sees Jeongguk entering the restaurant as well, instinctively he had decided to arrive early as well.
He spots Taehyung sitting and practically runs towards him.
“Not at all,” Taehyung passes a smile.
A waiter comes to attend them shortly, taking their orders right after.
Jeongguk gets the papers out once again, sliding them towards Taehyung.
“Wait– that’s not–”
“So, do you not want me to sign?” Taehyung raises a brow, clearly teasing Jeongguk.
Jeongguk clears his throat, “I mean, it’s totally your choice,”
Taehyung hums, grabbing the pen again, he signs it and pushes it towards Jeongguk.
“There you go.” He’s smiling.
Jeongguk thinks if he was that happy to finally be free from him. He visibly slumps on his seat, taking the fork and poking the food with it.
“Just that…you seem rather happy,”
“Am I not allowed to?” Taehyung is still beaming, and Jeongguk would’ve loved it if Taehyung was smiling at him like that in any scenario, but not this one.
Taehyung slightly nods, “Maybe,” He puts the fork and knife on the plate and wipes his mouth with a napkin.
He gets up from the seat, “I guess it’s time for me to leave then.”
He gathers enough courage to grab Taehyung’s wrist somehow, mumbling a little ‘stay’.
Jeongguk does.
Taehyung smiles again, leaning close to him and pecking his lips, making his eyes go wide.
“Then why did you sign the papers?”
Taehyung loops his one arm around Jeongguk, while the other goes to grab his tie and he pulls him closer.
