Initially HYBE said it wouldn't respond to MHJ but they issued a statement of rebuttal today.

1) Takeover of management rights was just a joke. There are records of discussions held over several months documented in chats and work logs. These talks occurring repeatedly over
2
a long period of time, sometimes with third parties, is no long casual talk but an executed plan. The VP who held these conversations is a CPA with knowledge of corporate governance and has participated in HYBE's IPOs and many M&As. He is a core ADOR exec
3
with access to all the company's financial info and the notation of CEO MHJ's comment to ultimately leave HYBE cannot be considered as a joke. These statements cannot be dismissed when several documents calculate the amount of money to be obtained by exercising the put options,
4
the timing of the put options, discussions of copyright infringement suits, naming of potential investors, and the plan for a battle of public opinion. There is even a document wherein MHJ instructs the VP to call the meeting a "casual conversation."
5
2) Not being paid enough. MHJ claimed she was only paid 2B however, 2B is her salary and she receives incentive pay calculated separately. Her salary is the highest of all individuals across HYBE and the Korean subsidiaries. In addition to her salary, HYBE gave her stock.
6
3) Audit began without response to her whistleblowing email. She was sent a 6 page A4 sized response on 22 Apr at 10:01 AM. Return receipt showed she read the email (or at least opened it) around noon...It is absurd that an audit for misconduct must be announced in advance.
7
4) Return on info assets. [she had said she learned that Hybe wanted the info assets through naver articles) They visited her studio in Mapo to retrieve assets on 22 Apr 10:00 a.m. Despite several attempts to contact her via phone, email, she did not respond.
8
VP Shin was contacted to obtain the info assets and he responded that she was too busy. She said that Hybe wanted to take away her laptop so she couldn't work on the New Jean's comeback but this is a lie as they provide a new laptop when the old one is turned in and that the
9
other individuals subject to the audit are currently working with the new devices provided to them.

5. Promise the New Jeans would be the first Hybe girl group. The reason that New Jeans did not debut as the first Hybe GG was because she insisted on debuting New Jeans under
10
her own label with her own team over which she would hold all autonomy. Hybe transferred the members from Source to Ador, provided 16B in funds so that New Jeans could debut in the manner she wanted. The creation of a new company and the transfer of contracts delayed the debut
11
In an interview published on 22 Mar 2022, MHJ announced she would launch a GG project in the 3Q of 2022 because a rushed debut would be a big burden on the young members and so she set the 3Q of 2022 a the launch date.
12
6. Told not to promote New Jeans. Due to the debuts of Le Sserafim and New Jeans being so close in time with one anther, it was decided that a minimum promotional period would be set. In addition, there were many articles pouring out about Sakura joining Hybe. If the ADOR debut
13
group was promoted as a team composed only of rookies, there was concern that Sakura's joining Source Music as well as the composition of the New Jeans team would be revealed. The request of no promo before Le Sserafim's debut was made to protect the news values of both teams.
14
However, even then, New Jeans promotion started early.

7. Hybe is neglecting to promote New Jeans. In 2023, 273 press releases were written and distributed for New Jeans alone. Compare this to the 659 press releases written for BigHit which operates a total of ten teams
15
including BTS as a group and individually. There were 365 press releases written for Pledis that operates four teams including SEVENTEEN.

8. Slave contract. (see my other tweets today)

9. ESG issues. MHJ complained that water soluble photo cards is nonsense. Hybe has invested
16
a lot of manpower and money to convert the plastic material of an album to paper and convert the album and photo cards to environmentally friendly materials. This is part of their ESG management. We are apply eco friendly albums to all labels under HYBE but the most
17
uncooperative label is ADOR which internal staff is well aware of.

10. No attempt to talk. HYBE has continually discussed changes to the shareholder agreement with MHJ.

11. Shaman is just a friend. (so I didn't post about this but Hybe has documentation of MHJ
18
discussing with a shaman personnel and other business related issues including whether BTS should enlist rather than be exempted) MHJ discussed the exercise of stock options, potential investors in a new business, the amount of shares the new investors would hold etc
19
Management decisions were made based on the shaman's proposals. Hybe cannot regard this shaman as a mere conversational friend.

12. Why do the audit during the comeback period. MHJ 's side is the one that began to attack via mail during the time of New Jeans' comeback
20
Records obtained during the audit show instructions by MHJ beginning in April to prepare for a battle of public opinion and to create noise to harass the company. MHJ is threatening the company by using the artist as hostage. if Hybe accepts the compensation demands
21
hen it's all good, but if not, they will use this as a pretext to end the relationship.
