Title: THE SAME DIFFRENCE

#bakudeku #ktdk #bkdk (end game)
Kachako (one sided)

CW: No quirk au, modern au, drama, child favoritism causing neglect, Manipulation, Slight homophobia, angst with a Happy Ending,

Ochako and Izuku are twins.
3
Katsuki had always suspected that Deku's parents didn't show him much affection.

Everytime he and Deku were together, his boyfriend always seemed surprised when Katsuki put him first before anything.
4
The first slice of pizza, the first serving of rice, giving him the best part of a roasted chicken. Katsuki would always give him everything first before himself. Those simple things.

For Katsuki it was normal but for Deku, it made him feel guilty.
5
He would always feel guilty when Katsuki went out of his way just for him. He's not used to it. He craves it but it makes him feel terrible when he gets it.

Deku wasn't used to affection because he never got it from the start.
6
He knows what love looks like but only from afar and never for himself.

Katsuki tried so hard to change that. He still gets angry when Deku feels shy being served by him but he is getting used to it bit by bit.
7
Katsuki had always wondered why, then he met the twin sister and knew exactly why. Katsuki knows when a person is spoiled, he met many of them growing up. Spoiled rich kids who had too much of their parents money and a wrong kind of love.
8
Ochako is one of them and she even tried to flirt with him most likely after knowing which family he’s from. Thick faced bitch.

On the first day they met, he instantly hated her. He doesn't see her as a woman, but a gold digger.
9
If it wasn't for the fact that she is Deku's sister, he would have talked shit to her.

He then met the parents and they didn't seem so bad. Hesitant but that's understandable but Katsuki could not shake the bad feeling from them.
10
Still he respected them because of Deku and no other reason.

Deku told him about the dinner and he had his hopes up but as the days passed, he felt how fake their effort was.
11
He hates how his boyfriend gets happy just by getting crumbs of affection and attention from his parents. How deprived was he of love that the smallest bit of it given to him makes him feel like he is dining in a buffet?
12
Katsuki hates it so much! It makes his blood boil but Deku looked so happy that he couldn't do anything. He couldn't dare.

Katsuki will just have to try his best to be on good terms with them.
13
He will follow along as long as it makes Deku happy. That included drinking with Deku's father.

Katsuki does not actually drink. He isn't used to it but he couldn't say no so he drank and drank until he felt dizzy.
14
He could hear the Midoriya’s speak, a few words like stay and sleep. He could feel his body being taken for a walk then being laid down on something soft.

Katsuki closes his eyes shut. He feels too dizzy to open them. He thinks maybe he really should sleep but what about Deku?
15
Where is Deku?

Maybe he should wait for Deku so they could sleep together. After all, this is Deku's house.

Ochako goes into the semi dark room. The light from the hallway shines inside, right where a sleeping Katsuki lies in bed.
16
There are no duvets covering him as he lies on his back looking peaceful with a slight flush on his cheeks from his drinking.

She places the glass of water by the bedside table then carefully goes on to the bed with one knee making the bed sink a bit.
17
She inches closer to the sleeping Katsuki, admiring his face then his body. She had always wondered what he looked like underneath his clothes.

Ochako grabs onto his shirt and pulls it up showing tone abs, big pecs and huge arms full of muscles. She gulps the site.
18
She takes her eyes lower to his pants.

Should she?

She got this far and if ever Katsuki wakes up, he'd be too drunk and the room is slightly da. He would think it's Izuku for sure.
19
She finds it funny that Izuku covers his freckles to take her exams but now she puts on freckles to take his man.

So she wasted no time removing the pants too.

Starting with the belt, then the buttons and then lowering his zipper.
20
She sees gray briefs then her world turns around, the room spins, there is a creaking of the bed and glass breaking on the floor. It was the glass she brought into the room, the water had spilled on her face.
21
Ochako sees red burning eyes and felt the grab of a huge hand on her face, rubbing her cheeks painfully at the grip.

“What the fuck are you doing?” Katsuki is awake and he seethes through his teeth.

Ochako is scared to death. Katsuki looks like he is about to kill her.
22
“Oh my god! What are you doing to my daughter?!” The scream came from the door where Inko stood, looking pale and sick.

Seconds later Hasashi arrived and saw the scene. Ochako on the bed with an almost naked Katsuki on top of her,
23
his hand on her face as if to stop her from making a sound.

“You animal! Get off of her!” Hisashi lunges at Katsuki, grabbing him by the shoulders and pulling him away from Ochako.

Inko goes to her daughter, crying and screaming,
24
asking her if she is ok but Ochako doesn't say a word.

Hisashi lifted his fist to strike a punch.

“You asshole! How dare you take advantage of my daughter!”

But Katsuki grabbed his wrist, stopping him.
25
“I didn't do anything!” He shouted at Hisahi, glaring at all of them, then looked at Ochako sitting on the bed still looking pale. Her face is wet from the water and red from Katsuki's hand grip. There is black smudge on her cheeks.
26
“Tell them the truth!” Katsuki shouted at her, angrier than ever.

“What truth? That you tried to fuck her?!” Hasashi shouted back.

“Don't lie! I saw everything!” Screamed Inko, now hugging Ochako.
27
“You have to take responsibility for this!” Hasashi pulled away his hand from Katsuki and pointed a finger at him.
28
“You must marry my daughter to save her dignity or we will file a case of sexual assault on you!”

“What the fuck-!”

“Kacchan?”

Katsuki's eyes snapped at the open door and there stood Deku.

PART 7

Title: THE SAME DIFFRENCE
#bakudeku #ktdk #bkdk (end game) Ka/chako (but it's one sided on her side)

CW: No quirk au, angst, drama, child favoritism, child neglect, Manipulation, homophobia, childhood trauma, NO CHEATING. Angst with a Happy Ending.
33
“I heard noise and screaming.” Izuku looks around. He leans on the edge of the door frame but doesn't step in.

He looks at Ochako, with her pale wet face on the bed being hugged by his mother, then at Katsuki topless with his belt off and no shirt on,
34
in front of his angry father.

He doesn't say a word but he questions everything and everyone with his horror stricken eyes alone.

“Deku…” Katsuki called him, he sounded worried, like a pleasure for help. Kacchan never sounded like that before. It pained Izuku to hear it.
35
Izuku steps inside. He tried to come near the two men.

“Kacchan, what happened?”

“Go to your room, Izuku!” Inko shouted at him.

Izuku stops from moving further to look at his mother. He feels like his stomach fell to the floor. She is frowning at him, angry, disappointed, mad.
36
All those at once all written on her face.

He looks at his father who had the same expression.

“Leave now. We need to discuss things here.” His father tells him firmly with the same time you used so long ago.

//“It's your fault for being so selfish.”//
37
There's a lump in Izuku's throat that makes it hard for him to breathe. He tries hard not to shake where he stands.

He looks at his father then looks at Katsuki who has pleading eyes towards him. It tore him apart.

“Go now!”

Izuku's legs buckle at his father's shout.
38
He took a step back, silently said I'm sorry to Kacchan and ran to his room.

Kacchan didn't come after him, nor did he call out for him. Izuku enters his room, and shuts the door behind him before he falls on his knees.
39
It's hard to breathe with all the tears running down his face.

The memories of the past when he was only six come back to haunt him again.
40
It was his and Ochako's birthday. They shared a cake and candles to blow but they didn't share the same gifts. Izuku got a pair of socks while Ochako got a doll house complete with accessories and two dolls, one girl and one boy.

Ochako played all afternoon with her gift while
41
Izuku just wore his socks but he also wanted to play house. He wanted to play with the boy dolly with his sister. So he did, he took the boy dolly but Ochako didn't want him too. They fought over it, Ochako pulling the arms while Izuku pulled on the legs.
42
“It's my doll! Mamma and papa gave him to me!” Screams Ochako.

“But I just want to play!” Scream Izuku back.

There was a popping sound as the dolls hands tore off from the body, both Ochako and Izuku fell on their butts. Izuku held the armless doll in shock and when
43
Ochako realized what happened, she bawled her eyes out.

Their parents came in and realized what happened.

His father towered over him. To the tiny Izuku, his father is a giant.

“It's your fault for being so selfish.” He tells him, disappointed, angry and disgusted.
44
His mother looks at him the same.

“I'm.. I'm sorry.” He says to them but they leave the living room. They left Izuku with a broken dolly.

Or was Izuku the broken one all along?

Over the next few weeks, his parents ignored him. Like he didn't exist.
45
A silent treatment to a six year old boy.

It only stopped when he cried to Ochako and Ochako felt like his punishment was enough so she asked mama and papa that she had forgiven Izuku. His parents started to talk to him again after that.
46
But what happened was a nightmare that Izuku still dreams about. Something he deeply fears would happen again and it felt like it was going to happen again earlier.
47
But the memory of Kacchan pleading for him, felt so much worse.

Izuku left him there. He should go back but he felt like that boy again that was broken and left behind that he could not move.

He stayed on the floor crying.

48
Nasty rumors about Katsuki spread on campus after the blonde stopped coming to school.

That he has committed a crime, stole something that wasn't his, assaulted someone.

Izuku heard them all while walking through the hallways and classrooms.
49
He has not talked to Kacchan for two days now even though he had tried to call Izuku many times.

His parents told him the morning after what happened and he refused to believe it.
50
“Kacchan would never do such a thing.” He defended him with his little voice. He bit his lips right after. It felt so heavy to speak against his parents.

“But he did Izuku! I saw it!” His mother scornfully tells him, making his heart heavy.
51
“He has to take responsibility for what he did. For the sake of your sister's dignity. What if she's pregnant.” His father says it like a declaration.

“Oh, you're right dear.”

They rage over what crime was supposedly done yet they go on and talk about a child Ochako might have.
52
“I hope he won't have freckles.” Says Hizashi.

“As long as they are as pretty as me.” Commented Inko.

They start describing a grandchild they wish to spoil.

/But I'm right here./ They have him. Why not him?
53
Izuku comes to realize that his parents truly never cared about him. His parents never hurt him but they didn't love him either and that's just as bad.

That was two days ago. As the rumors continue to spread and his parents keep asking him when
54
Kacchan will come over to discuss his marriage with Ochako, he thinks it's finally time.

He sends a message to Kacchan.

[Can we talk? At the park after class.]

It's almost six pm. The sun is just starting to set. Everything is colored orange to the beautiful end of a day.
55
Izuku arrives and he finally sees Kacchan. His hair is dull and there are bags under his eyes. He looks worse for wear.

“Deku.”

And he sounds like how he did before Izuku left him.

“Let me explain. Deku, what they're saying isn't true.” Kacchan desperately says to him.
56
“I know. I know Kacchan isn't like that.”

There is a relief in Kacchan's eyes. His shoulders relaxed.

“But we should break up.” Izuku says with finality.

Kacchan jolted as if pushed. His eyes looked at Izuku long and hard. Waiting for Izuku to say this was all a joke.
57
But it isn't. Izuku remains serious.

“Why?! You know I didn't do anything to her.” He raises his voice now.

“Yes, Kacchan would never do such a thing. The Kacchan I know is kind and respectful but I can't let you be near me anymore Kacchan. Or Ochako. Or My whole family.
58
They will just ruin you.” Izuku's voice cracks and he is on the verge of breaking down. He has to keep himself together or else he might not go through with this. He can't be weak.

“Look what happened. Look at what's happening. I can't let you go through this anymore.
59
Things might just get worse from here.” Izuku breathes in hard then breathes out.

“Don’t do this to me. To us. Let's talk things out, Izuku.”
60
He almost tore apart. Kacchan used his real name.

“I'm sorry.”

But Izuku can't give in. For Kacchan's sake.

“Goodbye, Katsuki.”

Izuku walks away. Leaving the only person in the world that could possibly love him.

He comes home already dark.
61
He sees his parents watching TV when he comes inside the house.

“Did you talk to Katsuki? When he is coming over to talk?” Asked his father, both he and his mother looking over their shoulder to see Izuku.
62
Izuku glares at them with swollen eyes. He doesn't reply and just runs up the stairs to his room.

“How rude.” Said Inko. They went back to watching TV.

Katsuki didn't show himself to school or to their house or anywhere for a long time. It got Ochako nervous.
63
She went through all of that for nothing?

Her original plan was to fool Katsuki into thinking something happened between them and force him to choose her out of responsibility then make him fall in love with her in the long run.

Her parents were not supposed to know.
64
It was supposed to be something between her and Katsuki but the man woke up and her parents saw them in that position. Now they think she got assaulted and is forcing marriage. Though Ochako doesn't mind. Who doesn't want to be a rich housewife?
65
But Katsuki might have been scared by their threats. They haven't seen him in days.

All that planning for nothing?

Her phone rings and upon looking it was an unknown number.

[It's Katsuki. Meet me at this address. I want to talk.]
66
Ochako brightens up. She jumps off the sofa, feeling lite as air.

It's Katsuki. Somehow he got her number and now wants to talk to her.
67
She sees the address to a really fancy hotel. A hotel! He wants to talk while in a hotel. She got excited thinking that finally he must have come to like her and see she was the better choice.

He left home without even telling her mom. She is much too excited.
68
She took a taxi to the hotel and got there in record time.

Ochako walks in the hotel lobby that was surprisingly empty. There she saw Katsuki standing in the middle in a black suit and tie, looking so handsome and fresh. All dressed up, looking like he was going to propose.
69
She almost ran up to him.

“Katsuki-kun.” She says out loud. Her steps are fast. She wants to reach him immediately.

She got close enough within arms reach and felt a sharp sting on her cheeks before landing butt first on the marble floor.
70
The sound of a smack still echoes within the lobby.

Katsuki’s open palm is up in the air. He had slapped Ochako across the face, hard.

“Stand up, bitch.”

CW: Some Law and Legal terms and proceedings that are not accurate because I am no lawyer. Lol Lol. Violence against Ochako but she deserved it hehehehehhe
╮ (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) ╭
75
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KACCHAN!
Here I'll let you have your way in this chapter as a birthday gift.

(*≧∀≦)ハ┏━iiiiii━┓ハ(≧∇≦*)
76
Ochako grew up pampered and spoiled. Her mother never even let a single mosquito near her. Not once in her life did her parents lift a finger to hurt her. So her stinging cheeks from a slap on the face stunned her. She touches it and it hurts. Her eyes started to tear up.
77
“Stand up, bitch.”

Katsuki is above, looking down on her below. She looks up and the man she thought was a prime Adonis is now like a demon with those glaring red eyes.

“I said stand up!”

He grabs her arm and forces her to stand on her feet.
78
“Wait. Wait! What are you doing?” She pulls herself away from Katsuki. Ochako starts to cry and shiver from the fear.

Katsuki didn't seem to care.

“Showing you what our married life will be in the future.”
79
If it was a joke or not, Ochako could not tell because this man was not showing any expressions anymore.

“Your dad wanted us to marry, right? He wanted me to be the husband of his daughter.” Katsuki grabbed her arms and leaned down on her.
80
His eyes are wide and redder than ever like the pits of hell were there and her reflection was on them, so it was like she was in hell, burning in the flames.

“Let's show your father dearest what kind of husband his daughter will have!”
81
“Stop! Don't touch me!” Ochako pushed him away as hard as she could, it only made Katsuki step back.

“That's funny, coming from someone who touched an unconscious drunk person.”

“I didn't… it was…it was you because you were drunk and you tried to-”
82
She couldn't complete what she wanted to say. Her cheeks were grabbed once again, shutting her up and scaring her to death at the glare Katsuki had on her.
83
“Go ahead and with those lies of yours. You know exactly what you were doing with those dots on your cheeks that night and your flirting since we first met.”
84
She starts to go pale and frantically looks around for anyone that could help her but the whole lobby is empty. Not even any receptionist.

“Someone help!” She screams out instead, hoping there could be someone nearby.
85
“Scream as much as you want. There isn't anyone here. We made them leave. My dad owns this hotel after all.”

All her strength left her body as fear took offer. He had planned everything all along.
86
“So, Ochako. Let's get married. Is this what you want?” He says surprisingly gently to her, calming her down slightly thinking that maybe he was ok after all.

“Hah?! Answer me!!!” Until he screams and pushes her away with the hand that gripped her face.
87
Ochako falls down again. This time she cries harder. She wants to leave, she wants to go to her parents but her legs are shaking.

“Is this what you want? This is the husband you're going to get.”

It was a warning.
88
“Y-You shouldn't be doing this to a girl.” She cried to him.

But Katsuki doesn't care.

“I respect the person, not the gender.” He flat out said.

He steps closer to her, she backs away, on the floor crawling backwards. She doesn't want to be near this psycho.
89
This wasn't the prince she thought he was. He's crazy!

“Why are you running? Come one. Let's get married. You wanted me right? You wanted my name, my money, my fame?! Come bitch, MARRY ME!” His angry scream echoed in the entire lobby.
90
“No! I don't want to marry you! Stay away from me! Don't come near me! I don't want to marry you!” Ochako shouts at the top of her lungs. Her face is wet with tears and snot. Her hair is a mess from the slap. Her clothes are dirty from crawling on the floor. She looked like shit.
91
“Bullshit. You piece of shit. After everything you did.”

Ochako could have sworn she heard his voice crack.
92
“Tell your parents what happened to you here. Go ahead. I will punch all of your father's teeth off. I don't care anymore what you do. Izuku broke off with me, do you think I care anymore what happens to your shitty family?”
93
Katsuki took a piece of paper from the inside of his blazer and threw it at Ochako's face.

“I will smear your family to the ground until there is nothing left. Fuck you!” With a last curse, Katsuki turns his back and walks away, leaving Ochako on the floor.
94
The piece of paper fell from her face and landed on the floor right in front of her.

She gasps.

“Intent to sue…?” Hishashi’s hands shake while holding the letter.

“Defamation of character? Reputational damage, Employment impact, Emotional and psychological effects..?”
95
He goes on to read.

“Hisashi.” A worried Inko is by his side, holding his arm to support her husband but Hisashi sat down on the sofa because of the shock.

So Inko reads some of the parts out loud.
96
“This letter of intent to sue shall hereby be considered formal notice that Bakugou Katsuki intends to file a lawsuit against Midoriya Hisashi if he does not comply with the settlement demands set out in this letter.”
97
It's Inko’s turn for her hands to shake and even her voice shakes while reading.

“In order to avoid the lawsuit, you must comply with the following settlement demand of 2,000,000 Yen!”

Inko almost faints beside her husband.
98
“He can't do this to us! After what he did to our daughter!” Hisashi sat straight on the sofa.

“We will also file a case against them for sexual assault!” He declared.

“But honey, do we even have the money for a lawyer?” Inko asked him.
99
Hisashi deflated once again. The answer is no, they don't have the money for a lawyer. Filing a lawsuit causes a lot of money. Hisashi did not think the situation would lead to legal matters because Katsuki wouldn't want any rumors about him spreading.
100
He expected the boy to agree to marry his daughter right away.

But now here he was with a possible lawsuit in his hands unless he pays 2 million yen and his daughter absolutely refuses to marry that boy. She doesn't even want to see him ever again.
101
“What now, Hisashi?” Inko is close to tears beside him. Hisashi could not answer her worries. He couldn't think of anything at the moment.

“We could… we could ask Izuku to ask Katsuki not to go with the lawsuit?” Ochako's small voice offers her suggestions.
102
Her parents looked at her at the same time.

“That's it!” Hisashi stood up. “You're such a genius Ochako!” He patted his daughter's head and ran to the stairs to where his son's room is.

“Izuku.” He calls to the boy who was on his study table in his pajamas.
103
“Dad?” Izuku stood up from his chair and turned around to face Hisashi.

“My son, you need to speak to Katsuki. Tell him…” Hisashi walks up to Izuku, frantic.

“Dad, I don't understand what you're saying.”
104
“Tell him not to go on with the lawsuit.” He is very frantic now. This might be his last hope.

“Lawsuit?” Izuku still looked confused.

Hisashi's temper is starting to flare. Why did this boy have to be so slow?
105
“Bakugou Katsuki is planning to sue me, your father for god knows what. The nerve of him after what he did to your sister. Now you must go to him and tell him not to go on with it.” He nearly spat at him. This boy needs to understand that his fathers life is on the line here.
106
Izuku becomes quiet. Then shakes his head.

“I can't.”

Hisashis heart drops.
107
“We already broke up. We have nothing to do with each other anymore.” He explains, head hanging low so his eyes can't be seen.

“What are you saying, Izuku? Are you just going to let him arrest your father? What about your sister? At least do it for her sake! For Ochako!”
108
Hisashi raised his voice.

“For my sister?” Izuku suddenly asked. His tone seemed sharp.

“Izuku?”

“Why is it always about her? Always about Ochako. What about me? What about my feelings? What about how I feel?!” Izuku snapped.
109
He glares at his father with tears threatening to fall down the corners of his eyes.

“What are you saying-”

“Dad, I'm hurt too!” Izuku's voice cracks. It's torn into pieces, shattered like his heart.

“What about me, dad?”
110
He is crying now, clutching the shirt on his chest above his heart.

“What about me? I'm your child too! What about me?” He repeats over and over again through his tears.
111
“You never think about me. It's always Ochako. Even now it's always about helping Ochako even if I'm hurt in this too. So no, dad. I'm not doing this anymore.” Izuku declared. He has made up his mind.
112
He will be firm in his and he hopes that by blurting out his feelings, his father will finally understand him and his pain.

“Izuku…”

His father calls out to him. Izuku looks carefully at his father, hoping.

“How could you be like this?!”
113
Hisashi grabs his shirt and gets dragged out of his room.

“You ungrateful brat. After everything we've done for you this is how you repay us?!” He goes down the stairs with Izuku in his grip.

“Hisashi? Hisashi, what are you doing?” Inko rushes towards them.
114
Worried and trying to stop him from whatever it was he was doing.

“I put a roof above your head, fed you and got you to school and you can't even do us a favor!”

The door gets opened.

“Get out!”

He throws Izuku out like garbage.

“Hisashi, don't do this!”
115
Inko tries to go outside, but Hisashi stops her.

“You are no son of mine!”

Hisashi yells before shutting the door hard. The locks can be heard being placed and the muffled voice of Inko talking to her husband.
116
Izuku stares at the closed door. The cold wind of the night seeped through his pajamas and the rough payment hurt his bare feet.

“It hurts.”

In more ways than one.

Also Intent to Sue is different from a Lawsuit. So if I understand it right, If Hisashi complies with the 2mil yen, the lawsuit wont go through. Its a settlement.

Of course Hishashi cant pay it.
118
Katsuki could file right away but he wants Hisashi to suffer first. hueheuheuheuheue

We are close to the end! I think...

Also... Im so sorry Deku.

Izuku walks around wherever his bare feet take him to. The breeze is chilly on his skin, his clothes are light and the only things he has. He left his phone on the table, so he has no idea what time it is or how long he has been walking around.

He has nothing now.
124
Ever since he was a child he always had nothing. He had a house but not a home, he had parents and a sister but not a family.

But then he had Kacchan.

The one man who valued him more than Izuku valued himself. Kacchan felt like home.
125
Whenever he felt like his parents never saw him, Kacchan treated him more than family.

But now Izuku has nothing.

He doesn't have a house to come home to anymore, his family had thrown him away but most of all he let go of Kacchan.
126
Izuku has nothing but the clothes on his back.

The breeze became wind. Izuku shivers and stops on the spot. A single drop fell on his cheeks, he looked up to the dark sky as more drops of rain fell on to him.

He is alone on a rainy night.

No home. No family. No Kacchan.
127
The rain gets stronger and the wind much colder. When he turns his head to where the wind comes from, he sees the river. He realizes he is on a bridge from the very edge of their town. How long has he been walking to reach this far?
128
Izuku walks to the edge and looks down. It’s dark down below. Dark nothingness, just like him. He feels it's where he belongs.

Izuku takes a step forward.

There was a screech that made him turn around. A car arrived and two people came out running towards him.
129
Izuku felt himself being engulfed within warm arms.

“Izuku, we searched everywhere for you for hours.” Says the voice of a man.
130
“Thank god we got to you in time.” Says the voice of a woman.

Izuku looks at the worried faces of Mitsuki and Masaru. He wanted to tell them to get out of the rain. They will get wet too.
131
To let go of him because he is all wet and cold but Izuku lost all his strength and let himself into their arms.

So this is what being hugged by a family feels like. It's so warm and comfortable.

His vision gets blurry. He couldn't keep his eyes open.
132
Izuku lets himself go and falls asleep.

-
-
-

“He has a high fever but the medicine I gave him should bring it down. His fever is probably from the stress and the cold. Just let him rest as much as he can.” The doctor instructed.
133
“I left the medicine and call me if there is anything needed. I will be taking my leave now.” He bows and left the room with his bag in hand.

The room became awfully quiet for a while.

“You found him at the edge of a bridge?”
134
Katsuki asked his parents. He doesn't look at them though, he only has eyes on the sleeping boy upon the bed with flushed cheeks because of his fever.

“Yes. He was staring at it when we saw him and we just sped up and ran towards him. He looked so lost.” Explained his mother.
135
“We brought him here after he went unconscious. We were glad he just fell asleep but then he felt really hot so we called the doctor immediately.” His father tells him with a comforting hand on Katsuki's shoulder, a silent way to say, it will be ok son,
136
Izuku will get through this.

Because right now Katsuki looked grim. He has been sitting on a chair beside the bed with his hand on Izuku's cold one, not letting go because he feels like if he did he would lose him again forever.
137
“I knew something was wrong when my messages stopped being seen.” He breathes out. Deku would always seen his messages, though he would never reply. This night even with all the messages he sent, Deku did not see one of them.
138
Katsuki tried to call many times but none came through. That's when dread took over.

He went to Deku's house where Izuku's mother answered the door.
139
///

Inko barely opened the door for him. It left with just part of her face to be seen.

“He's not here.” She says barely a whisper.

“What do you mean he's not there? Where is he then?” The more time passes the more nervous he gets.
140
The strange way Izuku's mother is acting does not help.

“He left.”

Katsuki couldn't believe that.

Inko looked behind her shoulder as if to check on something.

“Bakugou-kun, please go look for him.” It was the smallest of a whisper before she closed the door right after.
141
Katsuki froze in place before running towards his car and calling on his phone for his parents. He needs help. Izuku needs him!

///

Katsuki places Deku's cold hand on his cheeks, trying to warm it up.
142
He is glad that his parents found him on time before something bad could have happened.

He feels like ice is poured all over his body just thinking what if Deku did it. If Deku gave up.

No. Katsuki won't let that happen.
143
“We will let you be, Katsuki.” His father patted his shoulder one last time and his mother kissed his head comfortingly.

When Masaru and Mitsuki closed the door they looked at each other in silence.

“Masaru.”

“I understand, dear.”

They had a mutual understanding.

144
Izuku felt a warm hand on his cheeks. He tried his best to open his eyes and when he did he saw the face he missed so much.

“Kacchan.” Izuku cries.

“Deku.”

Kacchan said his name so fondly, so tenderly.
145
He leaps out of bed and hugs Kacchan, crying so hard. He felt relief at the same time despair because the life he knew of the past is gone.

“I don't care anymore Kacchan. I just can't anymore!” He cries in Kacchan's arms.

“I understand. It's all right now. I'm here.”
146
Kacchan kept him warm like a blanket, covering him from everything and anyone who would dare hurt him.

-

-

News soon spread that Bakugou Katsuki had dropped out of university. There was also a little news that another student had dropped out at the same time.
147
It happened just before the final exams.

Ochako takes the exam for the first time in her college life.

Izuku is gone from home but she hoped he would still be on campus but he isn't. She couldn't find him anywhere and his phone was left at
148
home so she had now way of contacting him.

Her head hurts because she doesn't understand a thing. She knew this was going to be bad. She wants to cry while taking the exams.

The next day she was called by the Dean of her college.
149
“Ochako. You do realize this is the final exams. Right?”

Ochako nodded.

The Dean pointed at the test papers on her table all showing scores well below the required passing marks. Ochako had failed all her exams.
150
She winces. She did that badly.

“What happened? This isn't like you. You usually have near perfect scores.” The Dean asked worriedly.

“Something happened at home.” She explained vaguely. She couldn't exactly say that her father kicked out her twin brother,
151
who was the one usually taking the exams on her behalf.

The Dean sighs deeply.

“I hope things will be fine at home for you but I have to inform your parents about this.”

“No!”

“I'm sorry but it's the university rules. Please talk to them about it.
152
You might have to repeat a semester.”

She almost falls on her knees. This can't be. This can't be happening to her. She made it this far and if her parents find out she isn't the smart princess they thought she was, what's going to happen to her?

Will they kick her out too?
153
Ochako goes home full of fear.

When she got home she expected to be scolded but her mother was crying while his father was about to pull all the hair off his head.

Hisashi got fired from work.

“Thank you, Mr. Asahi. You will be well compensated.”
154
[Oh well we wouldn't want someone in our company that had a dispute with you, Mr. Bakugou.]

“Thank you.”

Masaru ended the call then faced his wife who had a knowing smile.

“Thank you, Masaru.” She hugs her husband, who in turn hugs her back.
155
“It’s the least I can do after what that man did to our son and to Izuku.”

Ochako ran up to her room, feeling helpless like the world is ending. It might be so. She failed her exams. Her father got fired. They might end up dirt poor if the lawsuit comes through.
156
She bites her thumb to the point it bleeds as she rack up her brain on what to do.

“Ochako.”

She gets called and by the door she sees her mother.

“Mom?”
157
Her mother looked nervous but she came near her and held her hand.

“Come, let's go see Izuku. Let’s talk to him. I know where he is.”

Title: THE SAME DIFFRENCE

#bakudeku #ktdk #bkdk (end game)
Ka/chako (but it's one sided on her side)

CW: No quirk au, angst, drama, child favoritism, child neglect, Manipulation, homophobia, childhood trauma, NO CHEATING. Angst with a Happy Ending.

+-+
Ochako looks outside the familiar streets while riding the taxi. She knows this route. She had been here before.

“Mom!” She warns her mother as flashbacks of being slapped at the very same lobby they walk on come back to her.
162
But her mother didn't listen, they continued to walk through.

Weren't they supposed to see Izuku? Did they go here instead to talk directly to the source of their problems? But that man is a monster; he would never listen to them.
163
Ochako half expected to be slapped at any moment yet the lobby was full of people unlike before and so far she sees no blonde man with scary red eyes.

They took the elevator up and Ochako saw her mother pressed to the 20th floor while holding her phone.
164
Her hands were shaking all the while, Ochako just noticed it now that her mother looked nervous.

The elevator door opened and they stepped out. Ochako practically hid behind her mother when she saw the very man who slapped her across the face.
165
Well of course he would be here, his father owns this hotel. If Izuku is here then that would mean the two of them had gotten back together. So what her father said was true! Izuku ran away and betrayed them.

“Bakugou-kun, thank you for letting me have this opportunity.”
166
Says her mother. Her mother, who is usually soft-spoken, sounded so meek and scared.

Ochako is scared too. This man ruined their lives.

“Also, thank you for finding him.” Inko bows deep, much to Ochako's surprise.

Finding who? His brother?
167
Why would Katsuki need to find his brother? She remembered clearly her father telling her that Izuku had run away to be with Katsuki and betrayed them.

//He chose that man over us.//

That's what he said.

So why is her mother saying thank you and
168
why did Katsuki have to find him? Weren't they here to ask Izuku for help to stop the lawsuit?

“I didn't do it for you. I did for him after your shitty ass husband threw him out of the house, like he was some garbage.”
169
Katsuki barely moved from his place but his rage engulfed them.

Inko stepped back, looking down in fear or shame or guilt, Ochako couldn't tell but she herself stood still.
170
“What do you mean my dad threw out my brother?” She asked Katsuki. That couldn't be right, her father said Izuku ran away. Izuku must have lied to Katsuki when they saw each other last night but Ochako couldn't believe that because Izuku doesn't know how to lie.
171
She knows him that much as his twin. He's an open book to read by expression alone.

So was her father the one who lied to her?

Her face contorted, her stomach felt like it's going to come out of her mouth, she felt sick. Last night was very cold and it rained and his red shoes
172
were still in the house and he was in his pajamas and she was the one the reason why their father went to talk to him.

Ochako felt bile rise up her throat.

“Ochako.” She hears her mother trying to comfort her. Inko must have seen her grow pale.
173
Ochako couldn't even mutter anything anymore. She just felt sick.

“Bakugou-kun, may we see Izuku?” Inko asked him.

Katsuki eyed her for a long time before he stepped aside. Behind him is the big wooden door to the suite room.
174
“I'm agreeing because Izuku said yes when I asked him earlier. But just so you know I'm just outside. If you hurt him, I will end both of you on the spot.” He seethed through his teeth that sent a shiver down their spines. They nodded at the same time.
175
Katsuki opens the door for the two women to walk in. As the door closes behind them, they see Izuku sitting on a chair by a round table. There is tea prepared for each of them and two vacant chairs right across Izuku.

He was expecting them.

Ochako and Inko sat down.
176
“I'm glad to see you're ok.” Inko smiles at Izuku while he just stares at his tea. He didn't answer her. The air in the room is thick with apprehension at the silence.
177
Ochako stayed quiet while staring at her brother. She had thought they went to see him, so they could ask for help but now she doesn't know what to do anymore. She doesn't even know what to say.
178
“Why did you want to see me? For me to ask Kacchan to stop the lawsuit just like dad did.” Izuku finally spoke but he still didn't look at his mother.

“No. I…wanted to see how you are doing.” The worry in her voice was apparent.

Izuku made a sound of disbelief.
179
He looks at the window outside where the sun is bright and beautiful. It's warmth radiating everywhere compared to the hellish cold of last night. If she was really worried then why didn't she try to find him?

“I'm sorry.”

Izuku flinches.
180
This was the first time his mother had ever said sorry to him. He once again looked at his tea.

“I should have tried harder to stop him.”

She did try. Izuku saw that much. Ochako wasn't there, she was in her room at the time but didn't she hear them?
181
Didn't she try to find him? Do these people really care about him?

And his father. The way he treats him was just so different compared to Ochako.

“Why does dad hate me so much?” Izuku finally asked the question that had long plagued him.
182
“What did I ever do to him to deserve any of this? I've been a good child. I studied hard to make him proud. I topped all my exams and classes. I'm well behaved and did everything he asked me as long as I could.
183
I even tried hard to erase my freckles that he hates so much but nothing was ever good enough. So why?”

Question after question just comes out of him, each one making his voice sharper and bitter. His resentment from all those years of wondering what he did wrong came out.
184
Inko breathes in hard then lets it out shakily.

“You had always reminded him of his younger self. So he never liked looking at you because he remembers his weak pathetic self that he was ashamed of. Hisashi said that in order for you to grow up strong and manly,
185
we had to let you be and not cuddle you. That's tough love so you'll grow up to be better and I believed in him.”

As her shame grows, her voice gets smaller.

“Ochako reminded us of when I was younger and skinnier. So I doted on her and gave her everything I never had.”
186
She inhales again and lets it out. Trying to calm herself down.

"But I'm not him. I'm his son. His child that he is supposed to care for. Suppose to rise to be a good person. How am I supposed to know how to be a man and be better when I can't even find a good example from him?”
187
Inko jolts and shrinks into herself. She couldn't look at Izuku anymore.

“I ensured everything in that house all because I wanted him to just look at me. I just wanted him to see me. And mom.” Izuku got Inko’s attention again.
188
She looked at her son who was now crying big fat tears.

“I wanted you to pat my head and tell me I did good. I wanted you to kiss my booboo and tell me the pain has gone away.”

Izuku sobs hard as he breaks down.
189
“I wanted you to hug me. I wanted you and dad to love me!” Izuku cried hard. His tears falling from the corner of eyes going down his red cheeks and dripping on the teacup below.
190
“Izuku!” Inko stands up from her chair. She goes to her son with hands and arms about, with her own tears running down her cheeks. At that very moment it was clear that Izuku looked more like his mother than ever.

But Izuku raises his open palm to stop her.
191
“No.” He shakes his head. “I can't anymore.” He tells her without hesitation.

“Not now.” Because Izuku is too hurt. Even more after finding out the reason for all the neglect.
192
He felt at least relieved that it wasn't his fault. It wasn't because he was not enough, it was because his parents had emotional baggage and insecurities that they couldn't let go.

That's why Izuku will be the one to let go.
193
“You already know I'm ok. I want to rest now. Please leave.” He dismisses them. He wipes his tears and can now look at them confidently.

Inko held his hands close to her chest as if to hide her heart.
194
“Izuku. I’m sorry for being a terrible mother. I had to lose you to realize that. I'm so sorry. I hope one day I can make it up to you.” Inko is still crying. She bows slightly and turns away.
195
Ochako also stood up but she didn't go with her mother. She was awfully silent throughout the whole time. Izuku expected her to say something, like why did he have to be so selfish.

“I thought you were ok all these times.”
196
It was something completely different that surprised him.

“You were always so put together and calm and composed and so smart. I thought you were ok. I had no idea.” She looked troubled with her brows knitted and lips thinned. Izuku had never seen her like this before.
197
“All these times, you were hurt and I had no idea. No no.” She shakes her head.

“I should have known. I should have noticed but I only thought of myself.” Ochako gulps.

She looks at Izuku with teary eyes.

“I was being so selfish.”
198
Izuku never expected to ever hear those words from his twin sister.

She bows to him deeply.

“I'm sorry Izuku. For everything. For not seeing your pain. For being so selfish and for what I did to Katsuki. I will say sorry to him too.” She stood up and went closer to him.
199
Izuku stiffens. Not knowing what to do. He isn't used to this from her.

But Ochako took out something from her pocket and gave it to him. It was his phone that he left behind his house.

Izuku takes it in wonder.
200
He thought he would lose his phone and all the pictures he and Kacchan had together in it.

“I'm sorry.” She tells him.

“Ochako-”

“Don't forgive me. I wouldn't forgive me either.” She shook her head again. Her eyes are puffy like she is about to cry.

“Izuku, be happy.”
201
Ochako turns around and goes to her mother who is waiting for her by the door. They looked one last time at Izuku and left.

The door opens and then closes.

Izuku lets out his breath he didn't realize he was keeping. He was so scared to see his mother and sister again.
202
Kacchan had asked him if he wanted to after his own mother tried to contact him via email. Izuku was hesitant but he decided to go on with it as long as his father isn't with them.

Izuku felt relieved. After everything that happened.
203
It wasn't closure but he was about to let out everything he felt. It was enough.

The door opens again which makes him stand up, expecting them to come back but Kacchan walks in, all soft and gentle.

Izuku relaxes instantly at the sight of him.
204
He opens his arms in invitation and soon enough Kacchan is there. He feels so warm and cozy.

“Thank you, Kacchan.”

“It's whatever. Duh.”

Izuku lets out a laugh. He feels so blessed.

-
-
-

“You went to him, didn't you?”
205
When they got home, Hisashi was already by the door. Somehow he was able to conclude that his wife and daughter went out to speak to their son for help.

It was for his sake. So he could be saved from this terrible stroke of bad luck.
206
He couldn't convince his son to help him but he was sure his wife and most definitely his daughter could.

“Well?” He asked anxiously.

“Enough, Hisashi. Let's just face this properly.” Inko tells him flat out.
207
“What are you saying, Inko? He refused again, didn't he? That little brat. While I should-”

“Dad!” Ochako's scream stops him from saying any further.
208
“Just man up and face what you did because we did.” She says angrily then walks out to head to her room.

Inko looks at him with pity and leaves him too.

Hisashi stands alone by the door. He couldn't believe it. He feels betrayed.
209
What ever did Izuku say to them to turn their backs on him like this?

A surge of anger boils inside of him.

“This is all your fault.”

He goes to the living room to get his phone.

“All your fault.”

And types a message.

“It's from my dad. He sent me a message.”
210
For the first in all his life.

“What did he say?” Kacchan who is lying in bed beside him checked on the screen that Izuku showed.

“Do you want to?” He asked seriously.

“Maybe. I think it's ok.” He replies to Kacchan.

“Only if you're sure.”
211
[Dad:
Izuku, I heard from Inko and Ochako that you had a talk. Can we talk too? I just want to apologize to you in person. Please come back home. I want to see you.]
212
His meetup with his mother and sister turned out well. He felt a sense of release and validation from it. Maybe closure from his father is what he needs.

“I’ll go.”

PART 11

Title: THE SAME DIFFRENCE

#bakudeku #ktdk #bkdk (end game)
Ka/chako (but it's one sided on her side)

CW: No quirk au, angst, drama, child favoritism, child neglect, Manipulation, homophobia, childhood trauma, NO CHEATING. Angst with a Happy Ending.
216
“Deku.” Kacchan sounded angry now but Izuku refused to budge.

“Kacchan, I’m meeting my dad in my own house. My mom and sister will be there too.”

Kacchan frowned even more. It was clear he didn't like it that Izuku didn't want to be accompanied to meet his father.
217
“You’re forgetting that this is the guy who threw you out with nothing but the clothes you wore and tried to get me to marry you sister.” He reasoned, all the while he wasn't letting go of Izuku’s sleeve like a small child who didn't want their parents to leave.
218
And as much as Izuku thinks this was so cute, he really needed to go.

He had decided to meet up with his father this evening. Though he had agreed to see him and to talk, Izuku has no intention of accepting his father again. He just wanted to release everything he felt inside.
219
Izuku removed the grip on his sleeve, making Kacchan pout. But Izuku held his hand instead.

“I’ll be fine. I’ll come back when it’s done and be sure to have tissues. I think I might cry by then.” He knows this will hurt him a lot afterwards.
220
His father does not love him and it stings but it will be ok as long as he can come home to Kacchan after.

“Deku…” Kacchan warns him.

“Are you sure about this?” He asked one last time. Worry was written all over his face.
221
“Yes.” He kisses Kacchan’s nose. “I’ll message you if I need you.”

“I’ll drive you there.” Kacchan insisted but Izuku shook his head.

“I need to do this alone.” He has to. He might change his mind if Kacchan is there. Izuku doesn't want to escape from his problem anymore so
222
he can finally move forward.

“Fine. But you have to update me, always. If I don't get an update, I’m crashing in there.”

Izuku laughed at his boyfriend's threat.

“Ok Kacchan. I promise.” He kisses him one last time then heads out with a wave of his hand.
223
Izuku went out to face his trauma.

He’s home or he wished he could call it home. Izuku is back at the house that he grew up in.
He stares at the simple two story house from an outsider perspective. Who would have thought he spent his life feeling miserable there.
224
The sun is setting and it is time. He walks towards the front door step, passing by his dad's red honda civic parked just outside. He sent a message to Kacchan that he just arrived before going in.
225
The door is not locked, so he walks in just as Hisashi walks down the flight of stairs.

“Izuku.” He sounded excited yet with a sad smile on his face.

“Dad.” Izuku stops walking and nods to him.
226
“I’m glad you could make it. I really wanted to talk to you. You gave Inko and Ochako a chance but not me.” Hisashi walks over to him and when they were close enough Izuku could clearly see the freckles on his father's face. Just like his and
227
Izuku realize it was the only thing that he was similar to his father. They are nothing alike. Not one bit.

“But of course I can't really blame you after what I did.” There was remorse in his voice that softened Izuku's heart ever so slightly.
228
“Why don't we take a seat and let's talk about it.”

Hisashi gestured to the sofa where more than one he saw his parents give more love to his sister that Izuku never once had a drop of. He was reminded why he was here.

“Dad.” He called his father's attention.
229
“I didn't come here to talk much, I just wanted to say how I feel. I was deeply hurt that you treated me less than my sister all because I reminded you of your past. Well Dad, I'm nothing like you. I'm smart and strong in more ways than one and
230
it wasn't because of how you brought me up. And most importantly I know when I'm wrong and know when to say sorry when I cross the line.”

Izuku had prepared himself to say those words. His hands are shaking and his heart feels like it will leap out his chest.
231
His father might hate him after this and throw him out again but Izuku doesn't care. He already accepted what would come.

His father was silent for far too long. The wall clock ticks in the second at the same time as Izuku's heart.
232
He sees his father breath in deep. Izuku braces himself, clutching his hands at his sides and feet ready in case he needs to run.

“I'm sorry.”

All of the tension in Izuku's body left him in an instant, leaving him confused.
233
He blinks a few times to regain himself because he wasn't sure he heard it right.

“I'm sorry for hurting you, Izuku.”

He did hear it right. His father is apologizing and even more he is bowing to him.
234
“I don't think there is anything I can say or do anymore as I can see you made up your mind.” Hisashi stands straight to face Izuku seriously.

“I also don't expect you to forgive me but I hope that you will still let me be your father.”
235
Izuku's lips parted in disbelief. He wanted to say something but couldn't find the words because this was not how he thought it would go, he wasn't prepared for it.

Hisashi scratched the back of his head. He looked childlike now the way he looked remorseful.
236
“Well, that's all I wanted to say. Thank you for listening.”

“Dad.” Something in Izuku moved. The way this man is speaking is the way he has always wanted him to be as a father. Could this really be it? Even with the lawsuit? Can they really mend their bond as father and son?
237
“I know you want to go now but can I atleast drive you over? For the last time?” His father offered him and in close to tears, Izuku nodded.

This may be the last time.
238
They walked side by side until they reached the old red honda civic by the road. Hisashi even opened the passenger door for Izuku then went to the driver's seat.

“Dad, thank you.” He feels tremendous joy and Izuku dares to hope.
239
“You're welcome, Izuku.” Hisashi starts the car. As he waits for the engine to start up, Hisashi stares blankly at the road ahead.

He is about to drive.
240
“Dad, where are you taking, Izuku?”

Ochako suddenly comes beside the car looking frantic as she leans close to the window.

“Ochako.” Says Izuku to his sister, wondering where she has been along with his mother.

“I'm taking him back.” Hisashi answers fast.
241
“Get out of the way, Ochako. I need to drive.” He scolded but Ochako didn't listen instead she tried to open Izuku's door but to no avail as it was locked.

“Open the door Izuku! Get out!” She was nervous now.
242
“Why? What's wrong?” Izuku is about to open the door for her but the car starts to move.

“Dad! What are you doing?” Izuku looks at his father, snapping at him to answer but Hisashi just drives.

“No!” Ochako ran as fast as she could.
243
As the car was old and it took time to speed up, she was able to reach the back door and open it to jump in the back seats.

“Ochako! That was dangerous!” Izuku screamed at her from behind.

“Dad! What is happening?”

Hisashi says nothing.
244
He continues to drive, glaring at the road in front of him.

Suddenly out of nowhere someone in green in a cardigan stood in front, waving their arms frantically for the car to stop but Hishasi merely turned the car to a sharp left,
245
grazing the person inside sweep and fell to the ground.

“Mom!” Izuku screeched at the top of his lungs

“Dad! You hit mom!” Izuku is crying now but nothing is getting to Hisashi.

“Dad, stop this car.” It was Ochako who screamed at the back.
246
“I heard you talking in your room. You're not taking Izuku home, you're planning to hurt him! That's why you had us go out tonight just so you'd be alone with Izuku. We barely made it in time.” Ochako grabs her father's shirt to make him stop but the man doesn't at all.
247
Izuku goes pale to sickly green upon hearing that.

“No way. You wouldn't.” He can't believe that his father would go that far.
248
“I would have had a good life.” Hisashi finally speaks.

“A job, a wife, a daughter. That was all I wanted but you had to be born. I just knew that someone who looks like the younger me would fuck everything up and you did. Now I have nothing!”
249
The car speeds up as they reach the edge of the town, on the bridge where Izuku had walked over.

“It's that damn Bakugou kid's fault too! If I have nothing then let's see how he will react if I take away something that's important to him.”
250
The car went full speed straight towards the edge of the bridge.

“No!” Ochako shouts, launching herself to grab the steering wheel.

Hisashi seemed to have snapped out of it for a second in realizing his daughter was actually with him in the car.
251
The shock was enough for her to steer the car so they wouldn't not fall off the bridge to the waters below.

But a loud crash, broken glass scatters everywhere and the honda civic has collided with the metal railings, directly hitting the driver's seat on impact.
252
The car door opens as it leans down towards the waters.

“AHH!!”

Ochako falls.

“Ochako!”

But Izuku is able to grasp onto her right hand with his own but the only thing that's keeping him in place in the car is his seatbelt and it strains at their combined weight.
253
“Hold on, sis!” Izuku held on to her with all his might.

The belt creaks. It won't be able to handle both of them for long.

Izuku is crying profusely now. His tears fell from his eyes right down to Ochako's cheeks.
Ochako looks up to him with those wide hazelnut eyes.
254
“Izuku… let go.”

“What the fuck are your asking about?!” Ochako started to cry too.

“Be happy, Izuku!”

In a swift motion Ochako slaps Izuku's hand and all the weight he was carrying was gone. As he looks at his twin sister fall into the dark waters below.
255
“Ochako!!!”

The car creaks, the belt clacks, there is blood dripping down his head. Izuku's vision fades to black.

FINAL PART

Title: THE SAME DIFFRENCE

#bakudeku

CW: No quirk au, angst, drama, child favoritism, child neglect, Manipulation, homophobia, childhood trauma, Character death, major body injuries, Happy ending
259
Izuku lost consciousness. With his whole body weight pulling him down to where his sister has fallen, the icy cold water under the bridge. The only thing keeping him up is the seat belt.

It's an old car, with years of wear and tear and parts that Hisashi never bothered to fix.
260
The seat belt included. The belt started to click with the sound of the lock failing.

A final click, the lock breaks from too much weight. Izuku has nothing left to hold him. He falls.

“Gotcha!”

A strong hand grabs his arm, pulling him up easily to the pavement of the bridge.
261
“Damn nerd. What did I tell you?!”

Izuku cracks open an eye. It's blurry and dark but he could see the faint outline of blonde hair and red eyes, angry eyes yet they were crying.

Ah, he knows these too well.

Kacchan.
262
Izuku falls back into unconsciousness to the sounds of an ambulance and people rushing around.

“He’s bleeding!”
“There's still someone in the car.”
“Get the paramedics!”

-
-
-

It feels warm. Much warmer than the cold wild around his body that he remembers.
263
He feels so much more comfortable now but then he feels a throbbing ache on his head. He doesn't remember where it came from.

It all came to him.

The car, the bridge, the crash, his dad, Ochako.

Izuku sat up from where he lay, panicking.

“Deku!”
“Izuku!”
264
Two people shouted his name.

On his left side is his boyfriend, his love.

“Kacchan.” He said, remembering that he had saved Izuku that night. As blurry as his memories were, he was sure of it. That's why he was here, alive.
265
To turn his head to his right to the other person and see his mirror image. Same face but different eyes and hair but The Same Difference is all there.

“Ochako!”

His sister sits by his bedside with scratches on her cheeks and left arm in a cast on a sling.
266
“You're alive!” Izuku starts to cry. He prays to heaven that he isn't dreaming, that he isn't still asleep.

Ochako is also crying but tries hard to remain stone-faced. It was failing her.
267
“Yeah. I know how to swim, did you forget? But you don't, you never learned how that's why I wanted you to let go. You could have drowned if both fell. I wouldn't have been able to save you.”

She broke her arm when she fell at that height. She could barely keep herself up
268
with one arm and was in terrible pain. If Izuku fell with her, she wouldn't have been able to keep him up with her. Ochako made the sacrifice.

She didn’t want him to get hurt anymore. She didn't want to lose her brother.

“Why didn't you tell me?” Izuku sobs.
269
“I know you wouldn't never have let go even if I did. You're so stubborn.” Ochako sobs back.

“Ochako. Thank you.” Izuku says to her.

Ochako stops crying then in a moment, she leans in to hug her brother even if it's just by one arm.
270
“No, thank you Izuku. For making me realize how stupid and how much of a brat I was.”

Izuku froze and didn't know what to do. Ochako had never hugged her before. His father had never let them. Now here they are in each other's arms as Izuku hugs her back.
271
“I'm sorry Izuku. I really am.”

He hears her sister cry and it just made him cry even more.

“I forgive you sis.”

The twins embrace after so much they had been through.
272
When they parted they both had smiles. Izuku feels so happy now but upon seeing his sister's injuries and realizing he had his own bandage head, he remembers something.

“Mom. How's mom?” he frantically asked, looking at his sister then to Kacchan for answers.
273
His mother was hit by the car.

“She's fine. She had bruises on her legs but she's fine now.” Answers Kacchan calmly. Izuku heaves a sigh in relief. There is still one more thing he needs to know.

“And dad?” He looks at his sister but Ochako's face falls. She shakes her head.
274
“Dad died. Inside the car.”

The impact was too great and it happened by the driver's seat. Hisashi died on the spot as the paramedics said.

Izuku felt the warm hand on his own. Kacchan held his hand in silent comfort as he came to terms that his father who had caused all of
275
his trauma and nearly tried to kill him, is dead. Izuku didn't know what to feel but he did feel lost. It felt hollow and empty.

He started to feel sleepy again, most likely from the medicine from his IV.
276
He yawns and blinks back the tears both from being sleepy and from the tremendous sense of loss emotionally and mentally.

“Go to sleep, Deku. I’ll be right here.” Katsuki held his hand in a gentle squeeze.
277
It was comforting, something solid in the turmoil that he is experiencing. He lies back down on the hospital bed. He looked at his sister who nodded at him then he looked at Kacchan. The one person that made him push for the better in his life. He loves this man so much.
278
“Thank you.” He says in a whisper just before he falls asleep.

Some minutes later Izuku is softly breathing in his sleep.

“Katsuki-kun.” Ochako speaks.

Katsuki gave her his attention.
279
“I also owe you an apology. I did something terrible to you and didn't try to correct what my father accused you of.” She stands up and bows with her head low.

“I am deeply sorry.”
280
She stands up straight with eyes still puffy and many scratches on her cheeks that will probably leave some scars on the flawless face her family was very proud of for her but she stood with more dignity than ever.
281
“You save, Deku. That's more than enough. Just don't do any shit again.” Katsuki tells her with a serious expression. It was still a warning to her.

Ochako nodded and she accepted. She made a promise to herself ever since that day to never hurt him again and to be better.
282
“I’ll be going to see my mother in the other room. We’ll go and visit Izuku when he wakes up.” She bows to him one last time and leaves with one last look to her brother before going out the door.
283
When Katsuki hears the door close. He closes his eyes. He lets himself feel at ease now that Deku has woken up and that there were no obvious signs of brain damage or other last injuries.

Deku is safe.

Katsuki did the best he could for him.
284
It might have been too much to place a tracking app on Deku's phone but if it wasn't for it, Deku would have died. Katsuki should have known the moment the tracing was acting weird. He almost lost Deku. Katsuki is glad that this time he was able to save him.
285
And he will keep Deku safe always.

Ochako and Inko are sure to keep their promise of being good to Deku from now on.

And as for Hisashi, he won't be able to do anything anymore now that he is dead.

Dead on spot according to the paramedics or so what is written on the report.
286
Hisashi was still alive inside that car when he rescued Deku. The paramedics were to save him but Katsuki he-

///

“Don't.”
287
The paramedics stop just by this word.

“He's dead. I've already checked. Take Izuku to the hospital and hurry. There's also another person who fell in the water. You need to rescue her.”

They believed him and busied themselves to save Deku instead.
288
The rest went down to search for Ochako. All of which ignored the still breathing man inside the car.

The paramedics left the scene to bring Izuku as fast as they could to the hospital. Just before Katsuki went to his car he came near to the battered cash red honda civic.
289
Inside, Hisashi groaned in tremendous pain. Both of arms and legs are broken and his ribs are all fractured. He is bleeding in his lungs, drowning in his own blood. He has one eye half open, enough to see Katsuki look at him with pure disdain.
290
“Die.” Says the blonde before turning his away to go to the hospital for Deku.

Hisashi tries to scream for help but nothing would come out except blood.

He dies painfully.

///

That man deserved it. Now Deku is safe and with him forever.
291
“I love you so much, Izuku.”

Katsuki kisses his hand.

-
-
-
292
“Oh, I have always known about the two of you.” Says Mitsuki.

Izuku feels so nervous. He had woken up to Katsuki's parents in his hospital room and now they are having a conversation over some cake they brought with them.
293
“Katsuki had already told us since the day he met you.” Says Masaru.

“Huh?” Izuku is dumbfounded.
294
“He said he met someone he wanted to introduce to us but only when he had you as his boyfriend already. He was so sure he could get you as his boyfriend even then.” Mitsuki had a good laugh.

Izuku blushes hard. He didn't know about this.
295
“I was honestly excited when he would officially introduce you to us but he said you weren't ready yet. So we were patient.” Masaru explained and it melted Izuku's heart. How kind Kacchan's parents are.

Mitsuki put on a worried face before saying,
296
“We were honestly worried that he was never going to find anyone. He never showed any interest in anybody. I got worried he was going to be a leathery old man all alone. I thought he was going to die a virgin.”

“OLD HAG!”

Katsuki screamed.

Masaru had his turn to laugh.
297
Izuku turned red. Still he was having a wonderful time. Kacchan's parents accepted them, in fact they are happy for them.

Izuku feels so blessed.

“Thank you.” He tells all of them and the Bakugou's all smiled.

Even Kacchan gave a rare soft smile.
298
“We are happy to have you in our family, Izuku.” Masaru tells him.

Izuku's heart grows ten folds enough to escape his chest.

//Our family.//

Izuku finally has one.

Katsuki sat on the bed next to Izuku.
299
“Now get out! I had enough of you two. Leave me and Deku alone.” He shoos his parents away.

“Fine, fine. But remember Katsuki, he is injured so don't do him too hard.” Mitsuki teases.

Both boys turned red.

“Out!” Shouted Katsuki.

His parents left. They were finally alone.
300
Katsuki leaned down on Izuku but didn't look at him. He just stayed by his side.

“Don't do that again. I might die if you do.” He warned Izuku.

“I won't. I promise. I'm going to stay by Kacchan's side forever.”

“Promise?”

Izuku looked at Katsuki and held his hand.

“Promise.”
301
Slowly they came closer until their lips touched. It felt warm and soft. It felt like home. Izuku is home. Kacchan is his home. Now and forever.

The end.
