“Kacchan will come back! He promised he would! See?” Izuku showed...

“Midoriya-” Kaminari stressed. “He-”
“Has to come back and meet his child.” Izuku put his hand on his stomach.
Shoto made a decision then that he wasn’t going to let him be alone.
“I’m… sorry?” He asked Kaminari one day.
“I said I can help you with your ruts!”
It sounded logical at the time and Shoto really didn’t want to ever break and impose on Izuku.
“Really?” Izuku smiled sadly and Shoto could tell something was wrong.
“Did something happpen?”
“I just got off the phone with Kaminari-kun. He made some fair points!”
“Just that maybe I’m being unfair to you! I never want to hold you back from a happy family!”
“I guess I just worry for you when Kacchan comes back! I don’t know how he’ll feel about you living with us!”
“Midoriya, I know what I signed up for!”
Izuku nodded his head and cried into his chest gratefully that night. And Shoto stopped seeing Kaminari. He stopped seeing Hanta too for good measure. They both seemed to take it well. But maybe he was naive.
After Yagi said those awful words to Izuku, he was inconsolable.
Izuku felt like he failed him. That he caused so much pain in his child that he earned his hatred.
So Izuku did what he never allowed himself to do. He accepted Bakugo’s death. He took the time and allowed himself to finally grieve.
“Yes…”
“What were his last words? Tell me…”
“He told me to tell you he was sorry…”
Izuku sunk deeper and deeper into his own grief. Like everything he did, he pushed himself too far too fast.
“I made you put your life on hold! I gave Yagi false hope! I didn’t come to Kacchan’s funeral! I’ve never even visited his grave! How awful! I’ve been so awful!”
“Izuku…”
“Huh?”
“You can call me Izuku…” Then he kissed him. Shoto knew he was just doing what he thought Yagi wanted.
“Stop…” He gently pushed him away. “You don’t want this!”
“Oh… right…” Izuku took it as a rejection. It was the wrong thing to say at the worst time.
All Shoto meant to say was he didn’t need to be with him in that way to be happy! He knew he could never fill that void
If he just made Izuku somehow accept it before Yagi was born… if he just told Yagi the truth when he was young and could understand his mom’s need to believe it.
“LET ME THROUGH DAMNIT!”
“Bakugo?!” He ran into the hallway to the see his ‘deceased’ friend being held back by the nurses.
“It’s not Yagi-kun! It’s a stranger!” One of the nurses shouted to security.
“Bakugo… is that really you?!” Shoto rushed to them.
“Huh? Todoroki-San! It can’t be the real him, right?!”
“Half and Half?! Tell them all to back off and take me to Izuku! What the hell is he doing in a place like this?!”
‘Powerful Disgraced Former Student’s Quirk Explained!’
‘No Dynamight sightings yet!’
“LET HIM THROUGH! IT’S HIM!” Shoto demanded, shocking the nurses.
“Where is he?! What happened while I was gone?!”
“Fuck! You’re starting to look old! It really has been that long?!” Katsuki questioned in a panic.
“I should be the one asking questions!”
Something was clearly not right.
“O-oh! Right! I’ve been managing your agency! It’s still running Kacchan!”
“It’s actually one of the top agencies around.” Shoto noted. “It’s known for the way it cultivates stand out heroes and-”
“Of course he does! And Deku, it was /our/ agency!” Katsuki reminded him while using his hero name and Izuku nodded gratefully.
“Yeah… it was, huh?”

Yagi let himself inside the Todoroki family manor. His ‘Grandpa Endeavor’ gave him a key and informed him he was always allowed over. And he couldn’t go home due to reporters and fans and former heroes surrounding it looking for his now very alive sire.
“YACCHAN?! I SAW HIM! I SAW YOUR PAPA! I THOUGHT IT WAS YOU! ISN’T THAT CRAZY?!” Risa excitedly ran to meet him in the hallway.
“Shut it. I’m not here for you!” He snapped at her.
Yagi walked in to see all of Uncle Shoto’s family in the living room glued to the tv, watching the news.
“Shoto isn’t answering my calls. Did he send you here?”
“No. But I can’t go home right now because everyone’s looking for a ghost!” Yagi snapped. “I’m going to my room.” He said while marching toward his Uncle Shoto’s old childhood room. But when he was sure they stopped watching him, he took a turn.
And Yagi needed to hear his opinion!
“What? I don’t deserve privacy?! No knocking?! What if I was blowing off some steam in the only way I can in this dump?!”
“It’s me, Uncle Touya.” Yagi announced before turning the corner.
“Well well well, if it isn’t Shoto’s little bastard? Damn, you look too much like your real dad in that uniform. Brings back memories!” He smirked fondly. “You know we tied him up real good!”
“Huh?” Touya paused his game. “From the dead? Again?”
“According to the news, he never died. It was some dimension quirk, I don’t really know.” Yagi sighed. “Mom was right this whole time.”
“Huh?”
“I thought he was crazy! I don’t know, our whole life we’ve been waiting for that…guy! And… I felt angry and upset that he was never coming! Mom made me believe he would! But someone convinced me he was gone forever!”
“So why are you telling me this?” Touya questioned. “Don’t get me wrong, I love to hear updates on Shoto’s soap opera, but why tell me? I’m not a priest!”
“Wow! Straight to the point, huh?” Touya’s eyes widened in amusement.
“Just tell me!”
“I’ll tell you something. Your mom has really been through the wringer thanks to me and my friends and a lot of other factors out there! I’m sure we’re not the only reason he’s that crazy! So for him to drop? You must have really hit a nerve, kid.” Touya snickered
Yagi looked at the dart sadly before staring into DynaMight’s piercing red eyes in the poster. Then he used his quirk to launch it directly to his face.

Katsuki hated huge commotions. Especially when they centered around him! What him and Izuku needed was some damn privacy, but it was impossible when everyone: family, friends, press, fans wanted to get a glimpse of him!
“Take us to my father’s house.” Shoto instructed his driver the next morning after they left the omega center. Thankfully the press weren’t alerted to where Izuku was admitted. But they were tipped off he was admitted somewhere!
“You’ve seen Yagi yourself, you look the same. Just keep the sunglasses on.” Shoto shrugged.
“Endeavor-San said he went to school today?” Izuku asked him.
“Kacchan, Todoroki has been taking care of me and Yagi all this time! It’s not like that!”
Truthfully, Katsuki didn’t know how to feel about that. Half and Half was practically Izuku’s de facto husband and Katsuki and Izuku never got to even enjoy each other as a real couple!
The only thing they did was make a kid together and Todoroki was the one who got to raise him!
It wasn’t fair! Katsuki missed out on 16 years of Izuku’s life!
“Kacchan.” Izuku scented his wrist to calm him down.
Katsuki melted at his mates positivity as he pulled him into a deep kiss.
“They’re here too, huh?” Shoto sighed as the driver honked for them to move out of his way as he entered the gate.
“IT’S REALLY YOU!” Mitsuki threw her arms around her son and sobbed as Masaru followed.
It was hard for Katsuki to reconcile it’s been years.
Everyone was happy and in high spirits all afternoon as they reunited. Izuku was also happy as everyone exchanged stories to Katsuki about his son.
“We’re all very proud of him.” All Might smiled.
“He’s named after the one we admire most, afterall.” Izuku supplied.
“Are you okay, Young Midoriya?” All Might questioned. “You look tired.”
“I’m fine! Kacchan and I just had a lot to catch up on! We could hardly sleep!”
It was clear he needed more rest and the more everyone talked about Yagi, the more Katsuki could see and feel his anxiety. What was he so worried about? Everyone sung the kids high praises!
“How did you know?!” Shoto seethed.
“Oh shoot… sorry the kid told me about it!” Denki said nervously.
“Uh…” Izuku looked at everyone’a concerned faces and panicked.
“Nothing that we can explain in so little time! Midoriya needs to rest and I’m sorry but you all should go home!” Shoto said quickly.
“It’s fine! You all can stay! I-” Izuku struggled to speak up.
“He’s very very happy now. Right, mom?” Yagi’s voice startled everyone as he returned from school.
“Yagi…” Izuku greeted hesitantly.
“We needed to keep the reporters from following us!” Shoto informed him. “Sorry, can you all leave?” He addressed everyone else.
“Hi! I’m the one who told you what year it was!” Risa appeared from behind Yagi. “You guys are twins! Exciting!”
“Us too, Risa!” Fuyumi guided her.
“Um… Yagi, this is Kacchan! And Kacchan, this is our son!” Izuku nervously introduced but the way he did it made Yagi’s stomach twist. He was using that guy as a barrier between them. Hiding like he was afraid of his own child!
“Hey, what’s with the attitude?!” Katsuki growled protectively. “I know I’m a stranger but don’t take your anger out on him!”
“Kacchan it’s fine!” Izuku said desperately.
“Yagi!” Shoto snapped.
“What is it, father? You want me to replace you with this guy?” He pointed at Katsuki. “Or are you and mom replacing me?! Hell, he looks the part already!”
“You were willing to die when you finally accepted he was gone!” Yagi shoved him off of him. “YOU WERE GOING TO LEAVE ME!”
“BAKUGO!” Shoto grabbed Katsuki’s hand just in time before it slapped Yagi across the face.
“Let me go Half and Half!” Katsuki fumed.
“How did you-” Izuku gasped.
“Fuck off!” Yagi burst into tears before kicking Katsuki in the nuts.
“Ah!”
“I’m going to bed! Mom! You have terrible taste in men!” He cried before running away.
“Well that went about as well as it could have.” Shoto sighed.
“When did you learn sarcasm?” Katsuki questioned.
“I wasn’t being sarcastic. I’ll go talk to him. Midoriya, it’s not your fault.” Shoto pat his head.
As soon as Shoto left the room, Izuku collapsed into Katsuki’s arms.
“Izuku!”
“It wasn’t always like this…” Izuku said as he trembled from the stress. “Yagi really was a happy child… he used to look up to you… he used to be my best friend…”
Izuku looked at him sadly before passing out in exhaustion. Katsuki didn’t know where they were supposed to sleep in this house so he just held him as he laid down on the floor.
Shoto knocked lightly on his old bedroom door as he heard Yagi sobbing on the other side.
“It’s just me, Yagi.” He announced before entering.
Shoto watched him cry angrily before sitting next to him on his bed. “You were right.”
“Huh?”
“I do see you as my son. I never told you because I wanted to honor your mom’s feelings.”
“You know that’s not true. Bakugo isn’t a replacement. Midoriya’s worked hard your whole upbringing to make room for him when he comes back. There’s never been anything to replace. He’s always been here.”
“Of course it matters!”
“No! It doesn’t! I keep hurting mom!” He sobbed. “I don’t know how to stop! I made him drop and then I screamed at him when he lived through it!”
