Lan Wangji is about to propose when they have their first couple's...

It's nothing major, just a disagreement over some chores that escalated because both had had a difficult day.
But suddenly, Wei Wuxian is slamming the door shut on his way out...
Then, like waves crashing ashore, Lan Wangji realizes his carefully planned proposal has just been washed away.
He sits down heavily on the couch.
"Okay, fine," Wei Wuxian starts saying from the hallway, "Maybe I should've done the dishes this morning. I'll set a reminder to—"
He stops abruptly, and when Lan Wangji looks up at him, he gasps.
"Lan Zhan!"
Lan Wangji shakes his head. He had no idea he was crying.
"No need to apologize."
This is, Lan Wangji thinks absently as he finds himself with an armful of Wei Wuxian, a mess.
"I made you cry," Wei Wuxian sniff miserably. "Wait," he disentangles himself from Lan Wangji to look at him properly. "Youcrying cos of the dishes?"
Wei Wuxian, because he was born with a smile and does not hold grudges, laughs.
"What, did you have the dish argument scheduled for some other time?"
He thinks about the dinner he was supposed to cook, the double-paged declaration he prepared, and once again he shakes his head.
Details, much like the dish argument, those are details.
Wei Wuxian chuckles. "Fine, fine."
Lan Zhan walks over to where he hid the box, then turns back to Wei Wuxian.
"Lan Zhan." Wei Wuxian is crying again. But so is Lan Wangji.
"Wei Ying, will you marry me?"
And then they are kissing, passionate at first and then softly, until they have to reluctantly pull away to breathe.
He makes to stand up, but before he can, Lan Wangji pulls him over and picks him up.
"Lan Zhan!"
"Forget the dishes," Lan Wangji tells him.
Wei Wuxian snorts, good-humored, then proceeds to suck a bruise under Lan Wangji's jaw.
"Whatever you want," he offers.
"Mn," Lan Zhan agrees. "Mark your words."
The end~
