My daughter introduced us to her boyfriend after dating him for...

The young man was respectful, successful, and clearly crazy about her.
A few months later, he came to our house and asked for permission to marry her.
My husband was ready to say yes immediately.
But I couldn't.
Because there was something about my daughter he didn't know.
Something she had been hiding from him since the day they met.
When I asked if she planned to tell him before the wedding, she said:
“If he really loves me, it shouldn't matter”
I completely disagreed.
My daughter already had three children.
Not biological children.
She adopted them after her sister passed away.
The kids called her "Mom."
She raised them full-time.
But her boyfriend thought they were her nieces and nephews.
He had no idea she planned to bring three children into the marriage.
When I found out she hadn't told him, I was furious.
She told me:
“I was waiting until he was fully committed”
Then wedding planning started.
And he still didn't know.
I invited him over while my daughter was at work.
Then I told him everything.
Every single thing.
He sat there silently for almost five minutes.
Then he thanked me and left.
He didn’t shout. No argument
My daughter came home that evening to find the engagement ring on the kitchen table.
And a note beside it.
“I wasn't leaving because of the children”
“I was leaving because you lied”
“If you could hide something this big for almost a year, what else would you hide?
My daughter hasn't spoken to me in months.
She says I destroyed her future.
My husband says I should have minded my business.
But I still believe the young man deserved to know before marrying her.
Now the entire family is divided.
Some say I did the right thing.
Others say I ruined a good relationship.
What do you think? Am I wrong again?
