X now pays more cashback than most crypto cards I track.

If you're in the US.

@XMoney, a Visa debit card from Cross River Bank inside the app you're reading this on:

> 4% APY base, up to 6%
> 1% cashback base, up to 3%
> no foreign transaction fees
> free ATM withdrawals globally
> no paid plan needed anymore
> FDIC insurance on eligible deposits

To unlock 6% and 3%, you need $1,000 in qualifying payroll or X creator payouts every 34 days. Miss it and you're back to 4% and 1%.

I ran it through the same month I use for crypto cards. $3,000 spent, $5,000 sitting in the account:

> @XMoney: $1,080 a year in cashback + $300 in interest
>ether.fi Core: $840 a year, 3% stops at $2,000 a month
> @KASTxyz Standard: $360 a year, 1.5% stops at $2,000
> @Bybit_Official base tier: $60 a year, capped at $5 a month

And abroad it gets worse for crypto cards. X Money charges no FX fee. KAST lists up to 2% FX plus up to 3% on foreign purchases, Bybit 2% in most regions.

On paper X wins. Then I read the terms:

> X picks the cashback rate, and the terms leave room for categories and a cap
> 6% APY is variable
> it's a bank account in the US. No US address, no account

Where crypto cards still win:

> they work in 100+ countries, X Money in one
> top up with stablecoins from anywhere, no payroll needed
> on self-custody cards the money stays in your wallet, not a bank

So if you're American and get paid through X, this is hard to ignore.

Everyone else is still on crypto cards.

Would you move your spending to X Money if it opened in your country?
