I told you guys many times that Tor isn't safe.

8% of the network at its recent peak was compromised - Tor was stealing passwords, logins, and all user secrets.

Tor exit nodes must always be treated as untrusted.

Anything you input while using Tor could be intercepted. That 8% wasn't even the worst: in 2020–2021, around 23–28% of nodes were compromised and targeting crypto-users.

Of course, it has some use cases, and depending on the threat model, it could be a great tool. But remember that malicious nodes are always there looking for your data.

You could avoid that with a VLESS + REALITY + XTLS-Vision + uTLS setup, which sounds crazy and scary compared to:

>open Tor
>run Mullvad VPN

But if you want MAXIMUM SECURITY, traffic camouflage, and performance, Tor and VPNs won't cut it.

A VLESS server normally knows both who connected to it and where the traffic is going. Tor is better at distributing that knowledge between multiple independent relays.

Use Tor only if your model is just anonymity. Use REALITY when stealth and security matter.

Know your threat model and stay safe!

🛑 Attackers hijacked over 300 Tor exit relays to intercept SSH connections and steal login passwords.

A researcher found 333 exits redirecting SSH traffic to 12 interception servers.

The Tor Project has since blocked the affected relays.

Here's how the attack worked: thehackernews.com/2026/10/attack…
