#Sorare English Championship signing thread for the 26/27 season
Please share if you enjoy and feel free to ask me any questions
In this thread i will highlight 1 key signing for each club and where they are best positioned in their side
2
Birmingham City
Highlighted player: Dael Fry Position: Centre back
I could have gone with the permanent signing of Jhon Solis but the free transfer signing of Dael Fry is just as impressive. On his day, Fry is one of the best defenders in the league, just needs to stay fit
3
Blackburn Rovers
Highlighted player: Moussa Baradji Position: Centre Midfield
A slow start to the window with the permanent signing of Baradji the only deal so far. He looks like a world beater one week then a pub player the next. Mowbray will probably get the best out of him
4
Bolton Wanderers
Highlighted player: David Watson Position: Centre Midfield
A huge number of games for someone who is only 21 years old, Watson on a free transfer from Kilimarnock is top business. He might not be the first name on the team sheet but the potential is there
Probably one of the best signings in the league so far this summer. Tolaj has been a goal machine in the lower leagues of England and this will be his biggest step up so far. If he can hit the ground running...
6
Burnley
Highlighted signing: Lluc Castell Position: Left winger
A fairly unknown quantity and still young, Castell has plenty of potential. Burnley's only other signing has been Florentino Luis who is expected to be sold straight away, potentially to Hull City
Cardiff's only signing so far has been Nathan Trott following a successful loan spell last season. I covered him in the last thread. Jens Hjerto-Dahl from Tromso has been heavily linked throughout the summer
8
Charlton Athletic
Highlighted signing: Ivan Mesik Position: Centre Back
Mesik has joined the Addicks from Heracles Almelo and will provide defensive solidity and will give Lloyd Jones some much needed support. Special mention to Karlan Grant who has re-joined his boyhood club
9
Derby County
Highlighted signing: Bobby Clark Position: Just about everywhere in midfield
I could have easily have chosen Filip Bilbija here but the permanent signing of Bobby Clark is a real statement of intent from the Rams. Still only 21, Clark is already a key starter
10
Lincoln City
Highlighted signing: Andrei Coubis* Position: Centre back
*Although not officially announced yet, Coubis looks set to sign for the Imps. The rumoured transfer fee of £2.6m shows Lincoln's ambition to give it a good go in their attempt to beat the drop this season
11
Middlesbrough
Highlighted signing: Will Lankshear Position: Striker
After a successful loan spell at Oxford United last season, Lankshear is now looking to spearhead Boro to promotion. The expectations are high with the striker tipped as a future Harry Kane replacement
A close call between Servais, Arconte and Metcalfe. Millwall continue to be shrewd in the foreign market, picking up Servais from KV Mechelen. The Belgian has already impressed in pre-season and scored
13
Norwich City
Highlighted signing: Andre Brooks Position: Winger
A real coup of a signing from the Canaries with Brooks joining from league rivals Sheffield United. The Jamaican already has plenty of Championshjp experience despite being only 22 years old. One to watch out for
14
Portsmouth
Highlighted signing: Rocco Shein Position: Centre midfield
Special mention to Marko Milovanovic who was announced last night. I've gone with Rocco Shein here after being impressed every time i watched him play for old club Fredrikstad. Pompey with some good business
15
Preston North End
Highlighted signing: Alfie Devine Position: Centre/Attacking midfield
I really like the Jusef Erabi signing but Devine on a permanent deal is a statement of intent. The former Spurs player enjoyed a strong loan spell at Deepdale last season and is a key player
I covered Pierce Charles in the previous thread so will discuss Tariq Lamptey here. A tremendous player who has had horrible luck with injuries. *If* he can stay fit then he will be a key starter
A signing i really like. Still quite raw but this loan spell will do him the world of good. Big shoes to fill after Brooks' departure but Donovan oozes confidence in his play and loves to take a man on
18
Southampton
Highlighted signing: Lewis Dobbin Position: Anywhere across the front line
Daniel Peretz was covered previously so i went with Lewis Dobbin here. Dobbin is coming off the most prolific season of his career so far for PNE and has earnt a big money move to Saints
19
Stoke City
Highlighted signing: Ethan Galbraith Position: Centre midfield or full back
It probably won't be long before Galbraith is playing Premier League football which makes it all the more impressive that Stoke managed to pick him up. He much prefers midfield to full-back
20
Swansea City
Highlighted signing: Elijah Just Position: Anywhere behind the striker
A big coup for Swansea who have signed Just after an impressive league season followed by a strong World Cup campaign. He already scored his first goal for the Swans today in pre-season
Kjerrumgaard has completed a permanent move to the Hornets after a promising first spell last season. The Dane is still trying to find consistency in his game but at 23 there's plenty of potential to build on
22
West Bromwich Albion
Highlighted signing: Jimmy-Jay Morgan Position: Striker
After an impressive loan spell at Peterborough last season, Morgan has moved up a league and has signed for the Baggies from Chelsea in a permanent deal. The talent is there to have a strong season
Quiet window so far for the Hammers in terms of incomings so the best piece of business so far has to be retaining Bowen's services. An England international and clear Premier League player
Raul Jimenez returns to Wolves for a 2nd time after a very successful previous spell. The Mexican might be slightly past his prime but should still score plenty of goals in the upcoming season
25
Wrexham
Highlighted signing: N/A
Wrexham are yet to make a signing this summer but Phil Parkinson is being patient to make sure the correct targets are landed. No wholesale changes will be needed but Wrexham should still spend plenty of money in search of promotion to the PL
