Please share if you enjoy and feel free to ask me any questions. Plenty of content still to come!

There is a lot of uncertainty for a number of teams, mainly the recently relegated PL sides

Birmingham City

GK: James Beadle
Status: Safe starter🟢
Potential defensive stack: Christoph Klarer

Beadle returns to St Andrews for a 2nd season on loan and will have the gloves once again. Blues will be looking to push for play-offs this year after last years top half finish

Blackburn Rovers

GK: Balazs Toth
Status: Starter if he stays🟡
Potential defensive stack: Ryan Alebiosu

If you know English Football then you will be well aware of the Venky's and their penny pinching. A significant offer could see Toth and Alebiosu depart the club

Bolton Wanderers

GK: Jack Bonham
Status: May look to upgrade🟡
Potential defensive stack: Luca Stephenson

Bolton are back in the 2nd flight after last seasons Wembley victory. Staying up is the aim and Bonham could definitely be upgraded. Defensive stack could easily change

5
Bristol City

GK: Sam Tickle
Status: Safe starter🟢
Potential defensive stack: Noah Eile

Tickle has big shoes to fill after how good Vitek was last season but is one of the best up and coming GK's in the EFL. Skubala and Tolaj could see the Robins have a successful season

Burnley

GK: Max Weiss
Status: Should start🟡
Potential defensive stack: Bashir Humphreys

Plenty of uncertainty in the Clarets squad right now but the squad will be rebuilt in the coming weeks as they look for an instant return to the top flight. Weiss looks ready to start

Cardiff City

GK: Nathan Trott
Status: Safe starter🟢
Potential defensive stack: Dylan Lawlor

The Bluebirds were comfortably promoted last season, finishing 2nd and now have a top manager in charge. Trott has been signed permanently after an impressive loan spell last season

Charlton Athletic

GK: Thomas Kaminski
Status: Starter if he stays🟡
Potential defensive stack: Lloyd Jones

Kaminski didn't have the best season just gone and there have been some small rumours regarding a departure. He's still a top keeper on his day and cost a decent fee

9
Derby County

GK: Jacob Widell Zetterstrom
Status: Starter if he stays🟡
Potential defensive stack: Matt Clarke

Zetterstrom's stock is rising and there have been plenty of rumours about him leaving although nothing concrete yet. He's nailed on if he remains with the Rams

Lincoln City

GK: George Wickens
Status: Safe starter🟢
Potential defensive stack: Sonny Bradley*

The Imps are back in the 2nd flight for the first time since the 1960/61 season after a historic campaign. Wickens was a big part of that. No standout defensive stack for now*

Middlesbrough

GK: Sol Brynn
Status: Could become 2nd choice🟡
Potential defensive stack: Callum Brittain

Boro will sign another GK which could push Brynn down to 2nd choice after an average season between the sticks despite coming so close to promotion back to the top flight

Millwall

GK: Max Crocombe
Status: No clear No.1 for now🔴
Potential defensive stack: Jake Cooper

Crocombe can be upgraded and Jensen is returning from a long injury. Millwall will likely sign another GK unless one of the two mentioned impresses Alex Neil in pre-season

13
Norwich City

GK: Vladan Kovacevic
Status: Safe starter🟢
Potential defensive stack: Jose Cordoba

Philippe Clement turned the Canaries season around last campaign, Kovacevic and Cordoba were a big part of that and the Bosnian will start. Play-offs is a possibility this season

14
Portsmouth

GK: Nicolas Schmid
Status: At risk🔴
Potential defensive stack: Connor Ogilvie

Daniel Bielica looks set to sign for a fee which would be pretty high for a back-up goalkeeper. Schmid is now at risk of being dropped despite impressing for most of his time at the club
Media image
15
Preston North End

GK: Daniel Iversen
Status: Safe starter🟢
Potential defensive stack: Lewis Gibson*

Iversen is one of North End's most consistent players and will be the starter. There were some small rumours of a departure but he is expected to stay. No clear defensive stack*

16
Queens Park Rangers

GK: Pierce Charles
Status: Safe starter🟢
Potential defensive stack: Ronnie Edwards

Charles has signed on loan and is expected to be the No.1 despite Calum Ward also coming in. The Northern Irishman is likely to have sought assurances regarding playing time
Media image
17
Sheffield United

GK: Michael Cooper
Status: Safe starter🟢
Potential defensive stack: Japhet Tanganga

Cooper is back from injury and ready to reclaim the No.1 spot. Blades will be looking to have a much better season than last and the spine of Cooper and Tanganga is important
Media image
18
Southampton

GK: Daniel Peretz
Status: Safe starter🟢
Potential defensive stack: Ryan Manning

Peretz has signed permanently after impressing a lot during last seasons loan spell. Saints will start bottom of the league with a points deduction after spy gate but want promotion
Media image
19
Stoke City

GK: Viktor Johansson
Status: Safe starter🟢
Potential defensive stack: Junior Tchmadeu

Johansson continues to be arguably the best GK in England outside of the Premier League and looks to have fully recovered from his injury sustained during last seasons campaign
Media image
20
Swansea City

GK: Lawrence Vigouroux
Status: Safe starter🟢
Potential defensive stack: Josh Tymon

Vigouroux continues to age like fine wine after another strong campaign with the Swans. There's a feelgood factor with Matos this season and the Chilean has the starting spot
Media image
21
Watford

GK: Egil Selvik
Status: Expected to leave🔴
Potential defensive stack: Omar Traore*

A lot of uncertainty at the Hornets and Selvik is expected to leave. Federico Ravaglia is expected to be the Norweigans replacement. A lack of defensive options right now for a stack
Media image
22
West Bromwich Albion

GK: Max O'Leary
Status: Safe starter🟢
Potential defensive stack: George Campbell

O'Leary had an assured spell in net towards the end of last season and with Matt Ingram signing as a clear back-up, the Irishman should be a safe starter for the this season
Media image
23
West Ham United

GK: Mads Hermansen
Status: Starter if he stays🟡
Potential defensive stack: Kyle Walker-Peters*

A lot of uncertainty in the Hammers squad following relegation but Hermansen will be the starter if he remains at the club. No obvious defensive stack for now
Media image
24
Wolverhampton Wanderers

GK: Jose Sa
Status: Likely leaves🔴
Potential defensive stack: Kieran Trippier

Another side with a lot of uncertainty in their squad following relegation. Sa has been heavily linked to Olympiacos. Trippier is a shrewd signing and good option for a stack
Media image
25
Wrexham

GK: Arthur Okonkwo
Status: Could be upgraded🟡
Potential defensive stack: Callum Doyle

A strong season last campaign following promotion from League 1. Wrexham will look to build on that and having been linked with moves for goalkeepers as Okonkwo may become 2nd choice
