you're not broke because of your business model you're broke...

you're broke because you live in ohio
let me explain the physics of geography...
ambition is a physical frequency. killers vibrate at a different level. and if you're surrounded by people whose biggest dream is a fucking fishing boat, your frequency drops to match.
i tried building my first business from my hometown. small city where $100k makes you rich. every day felt like swimming through cement.
moved to miami. immediately surrounded by guys closing million-dollar deals at breakfast. my brain rewired in 30 days.
here's what actually happens:
in ohio (or similar shitholes), you make $10k/month and everyone treats you like bezos. you get comfortable. you stop pushing. the city's gravitational pull of mediocrity wins.
in miami, you make $10k/month and you're literally the poorest person at dinner. that shame becomes rocket fuel. you either level up or leave.
your environment sets your ceiling whether you admit it or not.
i watch guys trying to build empires from their parent's basement in kansas. listening to podcasts about "mindset." reading books about dubai.
you can't download the frequency through your airpods. you have to BREATHE it.
you need to:
- see the casual $1M watch at dinner
- get rejected by women who won't date anyone under 8 figures
- pay $50 for a cocktail and realize that's normal
- watch 23-year-olds close deals bigger than your net worth
that's not shallow. that's environmental programming.
the brutal truth:
small cities are where ambition goes to die. everyone's so fucking comfortable with mediocrity that excellence makes you a weirdo.
in my hometown, working past 6pm was "unhealthy work-life balance"
in miami, working til midnight is minimum entry
in my hometown, a mercedes makes you "materialistic"
in miami, a mercedes means you're the valet...
practical application:
pack one bag. sell everything else. move to the most expensive city you can barely afford.
yes you'll be broke for 6 months. but being broke in miami beats being "rich" in ohio. because one has a ceiling and one doesn't.
your business won't grow until you put it somewhere it's embarrassed to be small.
i know guys still trying to run agencies from towns with 50,000 people. their biggest client is the local dentist. they think they're crushing it.
meanwhile kids half their age in dubai are closing fortune 500 deals because that's what's NORMAL there..
study the yegor method.
