🚨 @amnesty International presents itself as a neutral humanitarian watchdog. But its record tells another story. From Gaza to Israel to Ukraine, Amnesty’s double standards reveal a pattern of bias that undermines its credibility. 🧵

In 2022, Amnesty published a 280-page report branding Israel an “apartheid state.” Critics across the political spectrum noted it erased Jewish history, ignored security threats, and relied on one-sided claims.

After Hamas’ Oct 7 massacre, Amnesty’s first Gaza report claimed: “On 7 October, Israel embarked on a military offensive.” No mention of 1,200 Israelis murdered, the kidnappings, or the atrocities Hamas committed to start the war.

In later reports, Amnesty even invented new “genocide standards” not recognized by international law, admitting they had to create their own criteria to accuse Israel. Legal experts called it fiction dressed up as human rights.

Amnesty stayed silent on Israeli hostages. Three young Israeli women freed after 471 days in Hamas captivity - no statement. On Oct 7 sexual violence against Israeli women, Amnesty hesitated for months, angering survivors and rights groups.

Please read @amnesty's statement on the release of the three young women held hostage by Hamas terrorists for 471 days:

Oh wait. There isn't one.

On International Women’s Day 2024, Amnesty showed “solidarity with every woman in Gaza.” Yet nothing about Israeli women raped and murdered on Oct 7. Nothing about Ukrainian women assaulted in Bucha, Irpin, or Izyum.

In April 2024, Amnesty mourned Walid Daqqa as a “writer” who died in Israeli custody. They left out that he planned the kidnapping and murder of 19-year-old Israeli soldier Moshe Tamam, who was tortured before being killed.

When Israeli activists displayed posters of kidnapped children in Naples, Amnesty activists were filmed throwing them into the trash.

Amnesty’s bias isn’t limited to Israel. After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Amnesty accused the Ukrainian army of endangering civilians - a claim so flawed that Amnesty Ukraine cut ties in protest and President Zelensky condemned it as victim-blaming.

Amnesty’s pattern is clear: erasing atrocities, silencing victims, mourning convicted murderers, and twisting international law. Humanitarian neutrality? It’s political activism in disguise.

Human rights depend on credibility. Amnesty’s double standards and selective outrage prove it has lost the moral authority to speak in their name.
