Lifting builds the horsepower, but at some point you need to put it into the ground.

That's where sprinting, mb throws and plyometric work come in. They teach you how to apply what you've built with timing, direction, efficiency, in more relevant positions.

The key is balance. Too strength dominant, and you never learn to use it. Too sprint oriented, and you neglect the general capacity that supports high output.

The art is in blending both...refining the program so force production and force application develop together.
